Medwyn Says…..LOOK, DON’T LICK !!!

Apparently even the local toads appreciate a comfy dog bed at the Yankee Clipper!
BUT as cute as this little visitor is, toads can release defensive secretions that can make dogs sick if licked or picked up in their mouth.

So Medwyn’s advice for today:

🍄 Mushroom Warning for Dog Owners.
With all the recent rain, mushrooms are popping up everywhere- including our yards. Several wild mushrooms found here in Virginia are toxic and some deadly. If you find mushrooms in your yard remove them immediately, especially if you are unsure of the species. Always supervise your dog/dogs when they are outside . if you think they have ingested any mushroom, even if they seem perfectly normal, contact your veterinarian or an emergency veterinary hospital immediately. Some of the most dangerous mushroom toxins don’t cause signs until many hours later when serious liver damage has already begun. A few minutes of prevention can save a beloved family member.🐾💕

“Hi! I’m Medwyn, the Quality Control Manager here at Yankee Clipper Dog Grooming. My job is to inspect paws, ears, tails, treats, and make sure every furry customer gets plenty of attention. I’ll be taking a short, planned family vacation August 17-21, so my grooming schedule will have limited availability during that time.

📱 A quick update for my grooming clients…

I’m still having some unexpected cell phone issues. At the moment, phone calls and text messages over the cellular network are not coming through, although I can receive and respond to Facebook messages when I’m connected to Wi-Fi.
*If you’ve tried to call or text me and haven’t heard back, please know I’m not ignoring you—I simply may not have received your message. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.
