🐾☀️ DOG PARENTS — KNOW THE WARNING SIGNS OF DEHYDRATION & HEAT STRESS! ☀️🐾

Hot weather can become dangerous for our furry friends FAST. Dogs can’t cool themselves the same way we do, so please keep a close eye on them during warm summer days. ❤️🐶

🚨 WARNING SIGNS TO WATCH FOR:
🐾 Excessive or nonstop panting
🐾 Thick, sticky saliva or excessive drooling
🐾 Dry or sticky gums
🐾 Low energy, weakness or unusual tiredness
🐾 Not wanting to eat or drink
🐾 Sunken-looking eyes
🐾 Vomiting or diarrhea
🐾 Stumbling, confusion or difficulty standing
🐾 Very red or unusually pale gums
🐾 Rapid heartbeat or breathing
🐾 Collapse or loss of consciousness — EMERGENCY!

🌡️ HELP KEEP YOUR DOG SAFE:
Always provide plenty of fresh, cool water and access to shade or air conditioning. Limit strenuous exercise during the hottest part of the day, and remember that pavement can become dangerously hot for their paws.

🚗 NEVER leave a dog inside a parked vehicle — even for a few minutes.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Severe overheating/heatstroke is a medical emergency. If your dog is struggling to breathe, acting confused, vomiting repeatedly, having seizures, collapsing or becoming unresponsive, seek emergency veterinary care immediately.

Our babies depend on us to keep them safe. 🐾❤️ A little prevention can make all the difference!
