Designed for puppies 6 months and younger, this class supports early socialization, proper care, and foundational obedience. We’ll guide you through essential skills like focus, sit, down, stand, stay, drop-it, leave-it, early recall, and polite leash walking.

You’ll also prepare for the S.T.A.R. Puppy evaluation, which highlights your commitment as a pet parent—covering vaccinations, ID tags or microchipping, grooming, veterinary care, and your puppy’s early training progress. Each class is tailored to address your puppy’s unique needs and challenges.

AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) 🐾

Take your dog’s training to the next level! This class prepares you and your dog for the CGC evaluation while strengthening real-world obedience skills. We’ll build on cues such as focus, sit, down, heel, stay, recall, leave-it, drop-it, touch, place, and release.

The CGC evaluation assesses your dog’s ability to demonstrate polite manners, including accepting grooming, staying calm during supervised separation, sitting politely for petting, and responding appropriately to people and other dogs. 🐶 Coat Basics
Double coat (soft undercoat + longer outer coat)
Medium-length, slightly wavy or straight
Sheds year-round, with heavier shedding in spring and fall

✂️ Brushing Needs
2–3 times per week (minimum)
Daily brushing during shedding seasons helps control loose hair
Use:
Slicker brush (for tangles and loose fur)
Undercoat rake (during heavy shedding)

👉 Focus on areas prone to mats:
Behind ears
Under legs
Around tail and “pants” (hindquarters)

🛁 Bathing
Every 4–6 weeks (or when dirty)
Book your appointment today - these fill quickly!

✂️ Trimming & Haircuts
No full shave (their coat protects from heat and cold)
Light trimming is okay:
Around paws (for neatness)
Sanitary areas
Feathering on legs and tail. They have a trademark smiling butt! 🤣

🐾 Nail, Ear, and Dental Care
Nails: Trim every 3–4 weeks
Ears: Check weekly; clean if waxy or dirty
Teeth: Brush several times per week (daily is ideal)

🧹 Shedding Control Tips
Regular brushing is key
At we complete a thorough de-shed process in the tub. Once dry, we use a variety of tools to gather up the undercoat so there's less hair on your floors!

⚠️ Common Grooming Issues
Matting if brushing is skipped
Seasonal “coat blow” can be intense
Sensitive skin if bathed too often or with harsh products. We only use the best products to keep your skin healthy!!

💡 Pro Tip
Mini Aussies are active and often pick up dirt and debris outdoors—getting them used to grooming early (as puppies) makes the process much easier long-term.

Show us how y'all are celebrating 🐶 today, and every day!

This client mom celebrates her dog every day! there are benefits to using a raincoat for your ?

🐾 Keeps Your Dog Dry – A raincoat prevents your dog’s fur from getting soaked, which helps keep them warm, especially in colder weather. Wet fur can lead to discomfort or even hypothermia in small or short-haired breeds.
🐾 Reduces Mess – A raincoat keeps mud, dirt, and water off your dog’s coat, which means less cleaning and bathing after walks.
🐾 Protects Against Skin Issues – Constant exposure to wet conditions can cause skin irritation, hot spots, or fungal infections. A raincoat provides a protective barrier.
🐾 Enhances Visibility – Many dog raincoats come with reflective strips or bright colors, which increase visibility during walks in low-light or rainy conditions, improving safety.
🐾 Improves Comfort and Enjoyment – Some dogs dislike getting wet, so a raincoat can make walks more enjoyable for them, encouraging regular exercise regardless of the weather.
🐾 Preserves Fur Quality – For long-haired breeds, a raincoat helps prevent tangling and matting caused by water and debris.

Also, who wants a wet coat after their appointment 🥰

It’s a Paws-itively Clean Monday at ! 🐶✨

Let this March be , not shavedown madness!

Double-coated breeds like these pups — — should never be shaved down. The secret to a healthy coat (and less hair around the house) is a thorough de-shed treatment.

At Beachy Dogs, the process starts in the bath with a de-shedding shampoo, followed by conditioner, and finished with a clarifying shampoo. At each step, we gently rake out loose undercoat to remove shedding hair safely and effectively.

Once your pup is squeaky clean and fully dried, we use a variety of professional de-shedding tools to remove additional loose coat and tidy up fur and paws.

Keeping your on a regular grooming schedule helps:
🐾 Reduce loose fur in the house
🐾 Promote healthy skin and coat
🐾 Support your dog’s natural temperature regulation in both warm and cold weather

Your pup will look great, feel comfortable, and shed less at home.
