Sea Dog Kennels

Sea Dog Kennels Over 25 years ago our family began breeding Airedales on our country acreage in Pennsylvania. Our family loves and enjoys all kinds of animals.

We raise healthy, playful, mischievous PWD (Portuguese Water Dog) and BWD (Bernese Water Dog) puppies on a diet of exercise, fun and love, all in the country sunshine. Our kids were always responsible for all our animals & it was too much work for us to continue at that time on our own. (If you want your kids to grown into super mature and caring adults we strongly recommend animals in their lives

for them to nurture and love while growing up.) We’ve had many good loving dogs over the years. Also horses & their colts, a wonderful mule, goats, sheep, chickens, parrots and other animals throughout the past 33+ years of being married. We were foster parents for both children and race horses during some of those years while running a manufacturing company with 200 employees. Planning for our retirement in our mid fifties we decided we really missed having and loving puppies. Since puppies don’t stay puppies forever we decided on getting back into breeding. Well actually Michael thought it would be a nice little hobby to keep me busy and out of trouble. We researched well behaved, good loving temperaments, intelligent and non shedding breeds and decided that PWD's were the best breed in the world & exactly what we were looking for. Because of them we have the best, happiest and most entertaining life on a daily basis imaginable. We raise healthy, playful, mischievous PWD and BWD puppies on a diet of exercise, fun and love, all in the country sunshine. Our mix of European and American bloodlines strive to reproduce the quality of temperament that the breed originally possessed.

Hey Dad! (Indy)

Wanted to check in today. My new human family said today is some weird day called Fathers Day! So you know, thanks for being my dad and a really cool dude!

Anyway, this week was a really big week for me! I’ve been with my new family for a whole week. I have two human brothers that are pretty fun! They don’t really like playing like a puppy and nipping but they said they’re “working on that” with me. Jeese hope they get the hang of it soon because this “No!” thing when we’re playing is kind of lame. 😆

Apparently I’m a very ‘good boy’ and I’ve learned a ton! So good news dad, you have a high achiever in the family! I already know “sit”, “come”, “Oscar” (which apparently means me) and “No” (I’ve been choosing when that means actually to stop). I also have a p**p and p*e spot that I go to every time in the yard. That one I figured out by day two. Easy peasy. Also, I figured out how to go up and down the steps on the first day. No biggie. I also like to put myself down for a nap in my play pen with my giant elephant. At night they say “bedtime” and off I run back to my pen with my elephant. I like to snuggle between it and my giant pizza pillow. It’s pretty darned comfy. I don’t even cry when it’s bedtime. Ive never had an accident in there and I’ve slept every night through except one. That time I barked to say “hey people this little fuzzy dude has got to p**p and p*e! Wake the heck up and let’s get to that spot in the yard we keep making a big deal over!” Then right back to sleep I went.
I have a little harness and a super rad skull and crossbones 🏴‍☠️ leash. Apparently I walk very nicely on it right now. I tried to eat the leash a few times and I guess that’s not what I’m supposed to do. Seems to me it takes the fun out of it but I’ll go with it for now. Maybe the humans are on to something...

Apparently there’s this crazy food stuff called “eggs” which I’ll do anything for. I’ve almost mastered “shaking” before they’ll give it to me. I’ve grown a lot too! I’m much taller, so they say, and I’ve gained 4.5lbs! I’m 16lbs today! 😳It can’t be those little pieces of eggs because I burn those off chasing my brothers. Funny story: One day they thought they’d set up a tent for an hour or two free from my signature “puppy piranha sneak attack.” That worked well until they forgot to zip it and I claimed the tent for my own pirate style! 🏴‍☠️ Who can blame me, they had super comfy bean bags in there. Those things are GENIUS! I sleep in them whenever I can.
