We founded our group in honor of a dear little dachshund named Sophia Grace. Sophia was a sweet little 12-year old dachshund who was rescued from a situation where she spent all her life without receiving any medical care. When she came into rescue she was severely malnourished, sickly and had to have nearly all her teeth pulled. Through the "Grace" of so many selfless contributors we were able to

get her the medical care that she so badly needed, and had been denied all her 12 years on earth. Sophia Grace lived out her final years in her forever home in Michigan where she thrived and grew stronger each day. It is in her honor that we founded our organization, and we will honor her with every dachshund we are able to help now and for many years to come!

Meet Sandy, a 10-years-young diva who has officially beaten the odds and is ready to steal your heart (and your couch)! 🐶❤️

Sandy’s journey hasn’t been easy. After being saved from the shelter (the day she was scheduled to be euthanized 😰), she went through a massive dental surgery where she lost 20 teeth. (Honestly, if we lost 20 teeth in one go, we’d be a little grumpy too! 😅) But after a temporary bump in the road, this resilient girl landed in her foster home—and her true, golden personality is shining through! ✨

Why you’ll fall head-over-paws for Sandy:
💋 Professional Cuddler: Loves pets, will gently put her paws on you, and hands out sweet kisses like candy.
🐾 Pack Player: Currently crashing with 14 (yes, 14!) foster dog siblings and gets along with everybody. 🐕
💤 Model Citizen: Super quiet (rarely barks!) and sleeps like an angel in her crate all night.
✂️ Grooming Champ: Came in with super matted fur and had to get shaved down (we promise, it's the same dog in all the photos!), but the groomer said she was a total superstar. 🛁
🎾 Forever Young: Age is just a number! She might be 10, but nobody told her—she’s got plenty of playfulness and energy to spare.

Medical update on sweet Julep and Clover! 🐾

Both girls had their spay appointments, but Julep’s came with a few unexpected twists! We noticed Julep was having trouble going #2 lately, and her surgery gave us the answers we needed. 💩

The vet discovered an inguinal hernia with her intestines pushed through—which was almost certainly causing her bathroom issues! They successfully repaired the hernia to give her relief, though we’ll be monitoring a potential second hernia on her other side. To top it off, they found no uterus—turns out Julep was secretly already spayed!

Meanwhile, Clover’s spay went smoothly, though she definitely enjoyed those post-op anesthesia drugs a little too much... let's just say she’s living in a happy, floating world right now! 🌀🥴

Both girls are resting up and on the mend. Please send them lots of healing vibes and extra belly rubs! 🩷

Remember Winnie and Rizzo? After waiting in foster care for two long years with barely any interest, their story got the ultimate happy ending—their foster family decided they couldn't live without them and adopted them both! 💕

Recently, Winnie celebrated her very first birthday in her official, forever home! 🥳✨ From waiting for a chance to living her absolute best life surrounded by endless love, treats, and her best buddy Rizzo, this girl has every reason to celebrate.

This sweet boy is searching for his forever crew, and trust us—his personality is impossible not to fall in love with! Benny originally came into rescue when his previous family realized that juggling a busy household with young kids and a high-energy puppy was just a bit too much. They wanted the best for him, and now he’s ready for a home with plenty of time, love, and playtime to offer!

In his foster home, Benny has officially earned the title of "the big goofball" because he keeps everyone laughing! 🤪 He is a social butterfly who loves making friends with everyone he meets—whether they have two legs or four. He gets along great with other dogs, cats, and humans alike!

Benny is a curious explorer who loves being right in the middle of whatever action is happening. But don't let his fun energy fool you—when playtime wraps up, he is a world-class snuggler. All he needs to complete his day is a good belly rub and a cozy blanket to curl up under. 😴❤️

Meet Pickles! 🐾💚

This resilient little girl came into rescue from a severe backyard breeding and hoarding case in Kentucky, where she was rescued alongside more than 200 other dogs. Today, Pickles is thriving, safe, and ready to find her forever family!

Here is everything you need to know about this sweet puppy:
✨ Energy & Playfulness: Full of classic puppy energy! She literally hops around outside like a tiny bunny. Because she loves to zoom and explore, a fenced yard is highly recommended.
🥰 Cuddle Bug: When play time is over, she loves nothing more than cuddling up close and sleeping with her foster mom.
🐶 Social & Friendly: Pickles does great with other dogs and is living peacefully with her foster mom's cat. She would do best in a home with other active pets who love to play!
🦮 Leash & Training: She is comfortable in a harness and currently learning the ropes of leash walking. Crate training is a work in progress—she's making great strides with positive treat rewards!
🥹 Growing Confidence: New experiences can still be a bit scary for her, so her foster family is working on gentle exposures like trip outings to the pet store. She’s also working through new noises (lawnmowers aren't her favorite yet!).

Happy National Dog Month! 🐾✨

We’re wrapping up the month with a wonderful adoption update on one of our alumni, Panini!

Panini found his forever family in July, and a month in, he is completely thriving in farm life. He loves exploring the trails with his big sister Stella, sniffing the horses through the gate, and claiming every single sun spot (and the blanket cart!) as his personal lounge area. 🐴😌

He’s completely crate trained, potty trained, and living his absolute best life. We couldn't be happier for this sweet little guy and his incredible family.

Happy tails like Panini's are the best reminder of why rescue work matters so much! ❤️🐶

🐾 WONDERFUL NEWS FOR SWEET PEA (AKA BIG SWEETS)! 🐾

Remember Sweet Pea? After losing her owner, she went through a really tough time while family members tried their best to care for her despite facing their own hardships. But this sweet girl’s life just took the best possible turn! 💛

She recently had a full vet checkup and was such a brave girl!
✨ Nails trimmed perfectly without any nicks!
✨ Clear heartworm test!
✨ Just a slight eye infection and a swollen lymph node, both being treated with meds and expected to clear right up.

Big Sweets got her nickname because she has a few extra pounds to lose—she loves going on her daily walks, though mostly for all the good sniffs! 🐶👃

We learned that 9-year-old Sweet Pea will likely need all her teeth removed during an upcoming dental procedure. During her exam, she even crawled right into his lap, curled up, and leaned in close for extra reassurance. 🥹❤️

And now for the BEST PART...

HER FOSTER DAD OFFICIALLY ADOPTED HER! 🎉

Meet Tilly! 🐾

Sunday is all about relaxing, unwinding, and... apparently, nibbling on foster mom's fingers! 🐶💕

Tilly came to us as part of the big Kentucky hoarding rescue, and while the world was once a scary place, she is discovering all the best things about home life. Her absolute favorite Sunday pastime? Giving the gentlest, sweetest finger-nibbles while soaking up all the love and belly rubs she can get. It’s her little way of showing trust, and honestly, we wouldn’t trade these soft moments for anything.

After a long journey, Tilly is learning what it means to be safe, spoiled, and cherished. Happy Sunday from Tilly and her favorite "teething toy"—foster mom! 🤍
