We have received an incredible amount of dog crates and various supplies including dog food, collars, and more. Your generosity truly means the world to us and helps us continue providing care for animals in need.

Summer is always one of the busiest times of year at the York County SPCA, and right now, we are actively managing a large-scale animal hoarding case in York County that could bring more than 50 dogs into our care in the coming weeks. This is one of the largest dog hoarding cases in our organization’s history.

As a no-kill shelter, we do not euthanize for space. During moments like this, we rely on our community to help us create the capacity needed to care for vulnerable animals entering our shelter. 🐾

At this time, due to long wait lists and high interest, we’re unable to accept applications for other released dogs, including young adult, adult, or retired guide dogs.�

✨ A quick note: Approved puppy adopters may be matched fairly quickly (sometimes within days or weeks). If you’re hoping to adopt further down the road, we recommend waiting to apply until the timing is right! �
