YIPPEEEE! Our online store is open until midnight Wednesday, 10/7. 🌱

Thank you so much for your patience as we let our nursery catch up so we could restock inventory. Fill up your cart and at check out, select one of our three Charleston area locations to pick up this Friday-Saturday, 10/9-10/10. Easy peasy!

Our nursery is growing strong and we have a wonderful selection of certified organic plants including:

Onions can start going in the ground in the Lowcountry in October!
🧅 Full sun; loose, fertile soil; standing water can cause rot.
🧅 Properly cured + stored onions can be kept for 3 months to a year!
🧅 Before onions can be stored, they must be cured-- spread onions in a single layer in a cool, dark, dry place with good circulation for 2-3 weeks until tops are totally dry + paper husk has fully formed.

Garlic also gets planted in October and needs:
🧄Full sun; low maintenance.
🧄 Very cold hardy; doesn’t need to be covered in frost/freeze; ready to harvest when the bottom few sets of leaves have turned brown.
🧄 Garlic is planted by dividing a bulb and planting each clove like a seed, pressing 1" under soil with the pointy end up.

These are a staple in all of our gardens! Who else is planting onions and garlic this season?!

🚨 We sold out of broccoli, broccolini and lettuces but there’s still PLENTY of plants to choose from! 🚨

As you start planning your Fall gardens we want to give a shout out to any of you gardening with limited light!

Ideally, your garden will get 6+ hours of sunlight each day but for some of us, that simply isn't possible. Whether it's limitations of your landscaping or space itself (i.e. apartment living) you can still successfully grow a garden!

Here are a few of our favorites that do well in limited light:

🌱 Chives, parsley, cilantro, sage, oregano, bronze fennel, lemon balm, mint
🥬 Arugula, spinach, tat soi, scallions
🌸 Violas, calendula, alyssum, salvias
