It's that time of year again for our popular knife making classes with AFA Certified Journeyman Farrier, David Moose Cjf! This will be the only event that we host this year. If you have reached out to us in the past few months asking when we are doing another class - here is your chance!

Commonly asked questions:

🔥Is there an age limit? No, there is no minimum age required. HOWEVER, each person who is making a knife must be able to hold and swing a hammer. Blacksmithing can be dangerous for young children who cannot be unattended.

🔥 Will there be other people in the same class as me? No, we keep these classes private and only you and your guests will be in our shop at your scheduled time.

🔥Do I have to pay for the time slot? No, you are only paying per knife. The knives range from $75-$125 each and we are only able to make 2-4 knives per session depending on the type of knives you choose to make.

*Please note that in order to reserve your time slot invoices must be paid within 24 hours to ensure booking.

𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐄𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐏𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐭 ✨

Here are the results following our October show. I have consolidated the charts to show only competitors eligible for our year end awards.

To be eligible for year-end awards competitors must attend a minimum of 5 out of the 7 shows. Year end awards will go to the high point champion and reserve champion for each division!

I've attached a link to the chart that was updated following the September show if anyone would like to refer back now that the charts are consolidated: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1JuAvkw6ZX/

Plans for the award banquet are almost finalized & registration information will be available soon! Thank you to everyone who has helped make this show series so successful! Lazy Rafter K Leather & Saddlery Carport Central

Despite the wind and we made the most of our day and had such a fun Halloween show! 🎃 We had the largest number of entries of any of our shows and our last entry didn’t exit the arena until 7pm! 🤯😱

I’m so thankful for everyone who helped make this show possible but much too cold and tired to make the normal thank you post that I do! 😅

If you entered the Halloween costume class drop some pictures of your outfit 👇🏼

🚨🚨Attention to anyone showing in tomorrow’s 2026 Open Hunter & Ranch Show Series @ FMF - October 17th Show!

We’ve pushed back the start time for tomorrow’s show to 10am! The forecast changed last night to showing a small chance of rain ending around 8am tomorrow. Hopefully this will allow the Hunter class entries a chance to beat the rain. Costume & Ranch classes will start no earlier than 1pm!

We can’t wait to see everyone’s costumes tomorrow 🎃

***All patterns have been posted on the event page

We’re getting closer to show day, and we have a few important updates and reminders for everyone! We can’t wait to see everyone back in the ring for a fun-filled Halloween show with judge, Angie Mabe!

🍞 CONCESSIONS
Our usual concessions will unfortunately miss this show, so we will have snack sandwich combos available for purchase at the announcer booth.

📸PHOTOGRAPHER
Lindsey-Tyndall Equine Photography will be the photographer for this show!

🚧 ROAD CLOSURE REMINDER
Please remember to enter Sparks Road from Swan Creek Road to avoid the bridge road closure on Sparks Road.

🏆 YEAR-END AWARDS REMINDER
We’re getting close to the end of the season! To qualify for year-end awards, exhibitors must attend 5 out of our 7 shows. Both Champion and Reserve Champion for each division will receive awards. Make sure you’re checking your show attendance and taking advantage of these last opportunities to earn your points! I hope to have an update about the awards banquet this Friday.

🎃 HALLOWEEN COSTUME CLASS
We can’t wait to see everyone’s creative costumes! For this class each entry may either ride or walk their horse and they will all have an opportunity to describe their costume to the judge before the winners are selected. Entries are $15 and there will be THREE award divisions: The Cutest and/or Funniest Costume, The Most Creative/Original Costume, and The Judge’s Favorite Costume. Each winner will receive a Tractor Supply gift card, Forging M Farm gift card, and a bag of horse treats! All entries will receive a handful of candy!

PARENTS’ LEADLINE CLASS
I've had quite a few questions about this class, so I wanted to better explain it! For this class either discipline may enter. The child will lead the parent around the arena, and we will use the child's entry number for the parent. This class will not be a "judged" class, instead this will be a fun raffle/lottery! All entries will be entered into a raffle drawing, and at the conclusion of the class TWO entries will receive an Amazon gift card AND a Starbucks gift card! Entries are $15

Thank you to our series sponsors!
