These grants are highly competitive, but winning them would be an absolute game-changer for our mission. It means securing the funds to subsidize hundreds of spay/neuter surgeries, buy more traps, and provide more food for our hardworking colony feeders. Simply put: More funding = More cats saved. But to stand out to these grant committees, we need to show them the real-world impact we are making in the Hampton community, and that is where YOU come in! 🫵

🚨 A SURPRISE IN THE RECOVERY ROOM: This is why we must TNR! 🐈🐾

We were gearing up for a busy morning of veterinary runs for "Operation TNR" when we went to check on a female cat that we had safely trapped and secured in our quiet recovery room.

But it turns out, she had other plans! When we opened the door, we weren't just greeted by the mama cat, we were also met by the heartbreaking, tiny mews of several newborns. She gave birth right there in our recovery space. 😲🍼

We are, of course, relieved they were born somewhere safe, warm, and secure rather than out on the cold Hampton streets where they would have faced immediate danger from weather, predators, and disease. This mama and her babies will soon be heading to a safe foster home to grow big and strong.

🎯 New shopper in Aisle 5... or perhaps just a cat in need! 🐈

Last night, we received a bit of an unusual call: a cat had run inside the Hampton Target! 🛒 Of course, we couldn't just leave a confused kitty among the shelves, so one of our wonderful volunteers rushed out and was able to safely secure her.

While our primary focus at Tips N ToeBeans is Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) to help manage the community cat population, sometimes you just have to pivot when a specific animal needs help. Last night was one of those times! ❤️🐾

Everyone, please meet the appropriately named Target! 🎯

This brave explorer is off to get fully vetted today to ensure she is healthy and gets everything she needs. Once she gets a clean bill of health, she will be going up for adoption through our fantastic partners at Clever Cats Rescue. Keep an eye on their page for updates!

Stay tuned for more on Target's adventure—we're just glad she didn't try to go back for any last-minute returns! 😉

We want to send a huge shout-out to our incredible local supporters for making last night’s fundraiser a success!

Together, the event raised $175 for Tips N ToeBeans!

This funding will go directly toward the care of Hampton’s community cats. Every dollar helps us continue our vital Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) work, provides medical care, and feeds managed colonies throughout our city.

We are so grateful for local businesses and talent who step up to support grass-roots animal rescue. It truly takes a village to make this work possible. Please show them some love back!
