🐾 Healthy Paws Start with Healthy Nails! 🐾
Did you know keeping your dog’s nails properly trimmed is about much more than appearance? Overgrown nails can affect the way your dog stands, walks, and runs—and over time may contribute to discomfort and extra stress on the paws and joints.

That’s why Vet Tech-Niques Mobile Veterinary Nursing is coming to Hampshire Pet Resort & Spa for a Nail Trim Event! 💜🐶

Regular nail trims can help:

🐾 Improve traction & stability – Long nails can make it harder for dogs to grip smooth floors, increasing the chance of slipping.

🐾 Keep walking comfortable – When nails become too long, they can contact the ground and put uncomfortable pressure on the toes and paws.

🐾 Support healthy movement – Overgrown nails can alter a dog’s natural stance and gait, which may place additional strain on the legs and joints.

🐾 Prevent painful broken or torn nails – Long nails are more likely to snag, split, crack, or tear.

🐾 Prevent nails from curling toward the paw pads – Severely overgrown nails can eventually curl around and cause painful problems.

☀️🐾 IMPORTANT HPRS CLOSURE — EXTREME HEAT 🐾☀️

Due to the Heat Index Warning and tomorrow’s “RealFeel” temperatures expected to reach up to 105°F, Hampshire Pet Resort will be CLOSED tomorrow.

The safety and well-being of our HPRS dogs and our amazing HPRS team will always come first. With temperatures this extreme, we simply don’t feel it’s worth taking any unnecessary risks with the pups or the people who care for them. ❤️🐶

We sincerely apologize for the late notice and any inconvenience this may cause. We were really hoping the forecast would improve and temperatures would cool down, but unfortunately, tomorrow is still looking dangerously hot.

Thank you so much for your patience, understanding, and for trusting us to always make decisions with the safety of our HPRS family in mind.

Please keep your pups cool, limit their time outdoors, provide plenty of fresh water, and be especially careful with hot pavement. 🐾💦
