Nothing makes us happier than seeing our visitors making memories with the animals at Caillou’s Calling!

Monkey the goat was especially grateful for the very generous donation of graham crackers, grapes, and kale! Safe to say our sweet boy was living his best life and making lots of new friends. 😂

Today, the Caillou’s Calling crew is celebrating because Marty is EIGHTEEN years cancer free!

Marty survived not one, but two rare forms of cancer: Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and Philadelphia chromosome-positive. We never take for granted how lucky we are to have him here with us. His strength, resilience, and spirit continue to inspire us every single day.

Life gave him an unbelievably hard fight, and he fought his way through it with courage and determination to dedicate his life to us. We’re incredibly grateful he’s a part of our world!

Please help us celebrate this amazing milestone and send Marty some love today! 🎉🐾

From the day Enzo arrived, we knew our job was to help him heal…even if it meant one day letting him go.

He came to us malnourished and anxious. With patience, care, and a whole lot of love, Enzo began to trust again. And what a transformation it’s been!

Now he’s a happy, social, thriving pig who soaks up every moment lounging in his baby pool, enjoying a good brushing session, or making friends with anyone willing (emus, goats, cats, deer, chickens, other pigs…you name it 😄).

Today, Enzo went to his forever home. He’s now with an incredibly loving family where he’ll have a pig friend of his own and the life he’s always deserved. We’re so grateful to chicagolandpigrescue for helping make this perfect match possible.

We love you, Enzo! Your next chapter is just beginning, and it’s going to be a beautiful one. 🐷💕

Big news from the pigeon coop… Patches and Poppy are proud parents again!

Everyone meet Stryker and Sorin—two tiny babies who need a little time to grow into those beaks!

Big sibling update: baby Piper is thriving and already practicing swoops and dives like a pro.

Did you know?
🪶 Pigeons are incredible parents-both mom and dad take turns incubating eggs and caring for their babies.
🪶 Baby pigeons (called squabs) stay in the nest longer than most birds, so you don’t often see them.
🪶 Pigeons are amazingly smart and can recognize human faces!

All 5 emus finally got to meet, and apparently the official activity was chaotic sprinting, dramatic turns, and looking suspiciously like feathered dinosaurs in clown shoes!
