🌈 Remembering Tessie 🌈

It is with very heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved clinic cat, Tessie. At approximately 16 years old, Tessie was helped peacefully over the Rainbow Bridge on Tuesday after a brief but significant decline in her health.

For many years, Tessie was a fixture at our front desk and a very important member of our team. Many of you knew her well and looked forward to seeing her during your visits.

Tessie had been with us for many years, and somewhere along the way, the clinic became her clinic. The front desk was her domain, our office chairs belonged to her, and keyboards and computers made perfectly acceptable beds. If Tessie decided she wanted your spot, you learned pretty quickly that it was easier to simply find somewhere else to work.

When she wasn’t busy supervising us or sleeping on someone else’s job, one of her favorite hobbies was knocking things onto the floor, just to keep everyone on their toes.

She was independent, funny, full of personality, and completely herself. Her presence became such an ordinary part of our days that it is difficult to imagine the clinic without her curled up somewhere nearby or quietly watching everything going on around her.

We know this loss will be felt by many of our clients, too. Thank you to everyone who stopped to say hello to Tessie, asked about her when she wasn’t up front, gave her some love, or simply allowed her to be part of your visits over the years. It means so much to know that our girl was loved by so many.

After years of supervising the front desk, stealing chairs, occupying keyboards, knocking things over, and making this place her home, Tessie has certainly earned her rest.

We will miss her more than words can say.

Rest peacefully, sweet Tessie. Thank you for making our clinic a little warmer, a little funnier, and a lot more special simply by being here 🐾🌈
