Lost Cat - Freya - Located with Thermal Drone in the Kinnikinnic State Park!

We received a call about a cat (Freya) that got off her leash in the Kinnikinnic State Park. Since the park is so large, and drones cannot takeoff or land in Wisconsin state parks, we needed to door knock for permission from a nearby homeowner to ensure we keep a stable connection between the drone and remote. After receiving permission from the homeowner, it was game on.

We grid searched the area where Freya was last seen, and around two hours later we were able to locate her. As we continued in the rescue, Freya became very skiddish and we had to resort to trapping. After 3 days of continued recovery efforts from Freya's owners, they were finally able to lure her in close and grab her.

Freya is home!

Lost pet recoveries can take patience, persistence, and a combination of different recovery methods. We’re glad Freya’s story had a happy ending.

Busy Monday night into Tuesday morning with the cold front coming in.

Spent a couple hours searching for a lost cat and were finally able to locate her, although we weren't able to get her safely retrieved (trapping in progress). We then followed up on a nice 6x5 buck, which we believe will survive his wound.

If you need help locating a lost pet or recovering a deer, don't hesitate to reach out!

We were called in for this young man’s first buck, and we couldn’t be happier with the turnout.

This deer was initially located within 30 minutes, but he was still alive, so we decided to back out and return the following morning.

When we arrived the next morning, the buck was gone. After 2–3 hours of searching through heavy foliage, we finally located him again.

What a thrill getting to be part of your first buck recovery!

Congratulations, Colton! And what a way to start with a 10-pointer!

Another successful early season recovery.

We were called in to assist Domain Outdoor LLC with a deer recovery, and our thermal drone helped locate the deer in some thick woods and nasty underbrush.
