We also lost Rosetta. We took her and her baby, Gladys, into sanctuary in January 2023. She was 15years old and had some medical issues. She was very loved and taken care of by her foster mom, Lynette. Recently we have watched her have more problems with walking and balance. She did have severe spondylosis but her situation became even more severe when she had problems standing and falling over. She also lost interest in her cookies and did not eat well. Our vet thought that the new situation could be caused from her brain, not the spondylosis. We all decided it was time to give her peace.

Our long term sanctuary resident, Zack, has gone to his loving creator. He came to me in December 2015 as a temporary foster, available for adoption. He was four years old. It did not take long to learn he was a bite risk so adoption was not an option.

We were happy to welcome him as a permanent resident, especially since the alternative was not acceptable. He was so darn cute and could be very sweet when he chose to be.

He had a very good and healthy life until recently. It was difficult to watch his decline. He slept most of the time and often did not want to eat. It seems he just finally decided to let go.

these sweet little ones have been with me for an extended stay while Lynn, their foster mom, recovered from surgery. They have been such a delight and I will miss them as they leave me. I will be keeping two (Lucy and Chia) as they need frequent medicated soak baths. Lynn cannot handle that yet.

Below are Gladys, Lucy, Sugarbear, Rosetta, Chia and Lucy

The rescue has taken in two little elder orphans. Rudy and Bear lost their Dad and had no where to go. I am told they were their Dad's children and very loved.

Rudy is 15 years old. His initial exam demonstrated he has severe spinal spondylosis, arthritis and blood work indicated he could have Cushing's disease. Further testing confirmed that diagnosis. He has been with us for a couple of months so has had time to be retested to adjust his medications.

Bear is 10 years old and very healthy. In fact, for an older baby, he is quite athletic. It's been a while since I had one that could jump on the sofa. He was so sweet as he sat at my feet waiting for permission to jump up for the first time. Apparently his temporary Forster did not allow dogs on the sofa. Now he is all over the place finding wonderful, comfy spaces.

Both of these boys are very sweet and so affectionate. They are always seeking love and attention.

They are not really bonded with each other. Bear is a very adoptable baby. If anyone is interested in giving him a loving home please contact me through messenger.

Rudy has been a big expense. Testing for Cushing's and retesting to adjust meds is high. And the medicine, Trilostane, is costly. Any help would be appreciate.
