We also work very closely with the local SPCAs and rescues in the surrounding parishes, as every animal’s life is just a valuable as the next, and we want to make sure they get appropriate care as well. Please share so every pet parent that needs financial support for spay/neuter has the opportunity to do so for both cats and dogs. You must receive government assistance to qualify (Medicaid, SNAP, Disability, veteran, or be a college student receiving financial aid). Includes your pet’s full physical examination, Rabies vaccination, microchipping and registration, nail trim, ear cleaning, and take home pain medication is included.

SOUND THE ALARMS 🚨 *It’s that time of the year again!!!* The snakes are out and about-make sure your dog is vaccinated with our Rattlesnake vaccine that also cross protects for pit viper bites as well (this includes our commonly seen Cottonmouth and Copperhead venomous snakes that most often are the culprits here in Louisiana). Give us a call today to book your dog’s appointment if your dog is not vaccinated for snake bites-this vaccine can improve your dog’s prognosis and can potentially help your dog survive, decrease hospitalization time if needed, decrease the severity of all of the side effects that come with snake bites like clotting disorders, sloughing and death of healthy tissues, and pain and suffering. We are now excited to announce that not only are we one of the select few veterinary clinics within a 50 mile radius that actually carries and administers on hand, antivenin (also known as antivenom) that we know, if administered as soon as possible after a venomous snake bite (which down here in Louisiana includes most commonly cottonmouths/moccasin and copperhead envenomations/bites) can drastically improve the overall prognosis of your dog’s recovery. We are excited to announce that we now also carry the CROTALIDAE ATROX Rattlesnake TOXOID VACCINE FOR DOGS!!! This vaccine can potentially offer crossprotection against envenomation by pit vipers other than C atrox-and this includes our Cottonmouths/Moccasins and Copperheads. This resilient sweet girl was rescued Wednesday night by one of our amazing clients, Josh Gill with the United Cajun Navy. She was pulled from the wreckage and chaos of the Mississippi tornadoes. Despite the harrowing ordeal she survived, she has been a complete beam of light since arriving in our care!
She is doing absolutely amazing today. To see her playing after everything she’s been through is a testament to her incredible spirit! She is an absolute sweetheart, winning over every staff member’s heart with her gentle nature. Keep this sweet baby in your thoughts while she goes through her healing journey! 🐾💕

Even on the days she isn't feeling her best, sweet Vidalia still brightens our whole clinic! 🌸 She came by for a sick visit today and made sure to share some love with all her friends here at Stafford Veterinary Hospital (she especially had to track down her favorite, John!).
