Sweet little Monkey got her post-op checkup. She's doing great! She's very healthy and spry. She got spayed, a double mastectomy, and a dental all at the same time. This adorable little 6.5 lbs shih tzu is ready to move into her furever home.

Needs a very special home. She was used in a puppy mill. She was never potty trained, and at her age, she never will be. She needs a home with no carpet, a good mop, and a very patient and loving fur-parent.

Look at this precious angel! Monkey is healing really well from her spay, dental, and double mastectomy. She's very, very sweet. She's still in need of a furever home. She needs a VERY SPECIAL ADOPTER. She was used in a puppy mill, so she was never taught how to be someone's precious baby. She's probably 10-12 years old. She has never been potty trained and will likely never get it. The person who adopts her must have no carpet, a sturdy mop, and incredible patience. Meet Monkey. Monkey is a senior shih tzu who was used in a puppy mill. She has dry eye (like every single shih), and giant incision on her belly from removing mammary tumors, and a super sweet personality. She will be available for adoption once she is healed from her radical double mastectomy. Now, before you see this adorable face and decide you need her in your life, you need know what you're getting into. She is spayed, had a dental, tumors removed, vaccinated, proheart12, quantum, and microchipped. SHE IS NOT HOUSEBROKEN. She may never be. She was just used to make puppies in a cage.
Monkey needs someone with infinite patience, no carpet, and the time and desire to teach her what it means to be family. She has no idea what a leash is and freaks out if you try to leash her. She is a very special and very sweet little girl.
Her puppy making days are behind her. She's reasonably healthy, and very spry. She requires daily medication for arthritis and dry eye. This gets expensive fast. Only request an application for adoption if you're ready for a lot work with her.

Yesterday day was just awful! At 7:30 am, at the age of 14 years and 2 days, Chulo died in my arms. That devastated me. But I still had to go to work because chicky nuggies aren't free. Most people were jerks all day. When I got off work, I had a tire blow out. I got the spare and jack out to change the tire to discover that each tire has a lock nut. I didn't get the key when I bought the car. I couldn't get that lock nut off. Two beautiful people (Tina and Brian) stopped to help me. They made my day brighter with their incredible kindness and selflessness. Tina stayed with me, comforting me while I bawled my eyes out because of how heartbroken and overwhelmed I was while Brian drove all over the west side of Hammond finding help for me.
The guy who is at Hammond Rims and Tires got the lock nuts (one on each tire) off my car, put the normal lug nuts on, and put a brand new tire on for only $123. Then I came home to find Zinnia looking pretty and determined to make the rest of my day wonderful.
I did feel better after a little time, but it was still too much yesterday. It was still an expense that I didn't need. But I need my rescuemobile to be in tip top shape.
