Our annual Skalkaho Stables Summer Show! We had to move inside at the last minute due to weather, we didn’t get any action shots, it was a whirlwind of a day, but oh boy did we have fun. It’s always our favorite show, because all our students get to compete, we all cheer each other on, and the atmosphere is just the best. Here’s to our Skalkaho’s riding school family- so much joy, love, and happiness filled our arena today ❤️🐴 🥇

We have a couple of shifts open for morning barn chores. Duties include: mucking stalls, preparing feed bags, feeding, and turnout, with room to grow and add more shifts for the right person. No experience needed, we are happy to teach you everything you need to know, but you do need to be positive, not afraid to get your hands dirty, and be able to lift heavy things. All work is piece rate. If you think you’ll be a good fit please send an email to [email protected] with “barn chores” as the subject line.

Applications are open for an instructor position.

Skalkaho stables is looking to hire one or two more riding instructors. This is a part-time position with room to grow into more hours. We are looking for the following:

Someone who is comfortable and confident in the saddle, and good with kids and horses.

Someone who is open to adopting our way of teaching both students and horses.

Someone who is dependable and positive!

We didn’t do a great job with photos (not everyone was even captured), but that’s because we were busy busy busy. We spent the last two weekends at hunter/jumper shows in Kalispell at Rebecca Farm and in Missoula at the Big Sky Horse park. Proud is an understatement- these girls and horses were amazing 👏 🥇 🐴
