This girl dog here--MAN, what a dog! She's fast, she's powerful, she's athletic as all get out! Smart as a whip and not above taking control or advantage when/if the opportunity presents itself, but so dang much fun to train and work with! She is a bundle of drive and energy, but she can, if given lots of appropriate physical and mental outlets, settle nicely, with the caveat that that settle is always ready to jump up and be off and running to the next work, training or just fun opportunity at a moment's notice! She is also, very importantly, one of the best momma dogs I've ever had--dedicated to her pups and providing the perfect balance of attention and resilience building while she is with them. I hesitated at first when I found her in Denmark and was considering bringing her in, but am I ever glad I did!

Orla looking and working so much better! Three years won't get fixed overnight, and change was expectedly slow in coming at first, but now we are starting to see progress building more quickly as her body and brain reset and she learns that learning can be fun! Huge thanks to Christine for patiently and persistently putting in the reps to help this come back princess with her rebuild!

My little wolverine really struggles with impulse control and capping her drive. Christine has had to get creative and be mighty persistent for the progress that has been made, but it's really starting to pay off and show! She'll get there--I have no doubt!

Fawkes and the rest of the "T" litter turned a year old a couple weeks ago. This big boy is growing up so handsomely, and his humans write this about him!

Not only has Reese taken to dock diving like a duck to water, already earning titles and receiving an invite to dock diving regionals, but here is a video from his introduction to fast cat last weekend! I think it's very safe to say he Loves this sport, too! He's 50 points away from his first fast cat title after only his first weekend running. Nice job, handsome Reese!

Part of Orla's rehab and recuperation regime has been regular body work sessions. At first, she was such a mess that she required adjustment from the tip of her nose to the base of her tail, but as time has gone by and she has built condition and muscle structure through Christine's exercise plan, the adjustments have held better and Orla is requiring less and less work to be done to continue her strengthening process. I am eternally thankful for Dr. Sammons' wonderful hands on care and to Christine for putting together a program to help my pretty girl start to become the dog I always thought she could be! This last visit the doctor commented that Orla was almost feeling and looking like a regular dog; fantastic news!

The new and improved Meara is a far cry from the Meara that came home last October. It's taken several body work sessions, time and freedom to just be a dog doing dog things, teaching her how to learn and building her enjoyment of the learning process, and a slow and steady concerted effort toward building her drive and work ethic to get to this point, but I am Really thinking that it has and will be time well spent! She now has nice muscle tone and can and knows how to actually run, jumps like a jackalope, enjoys training and learning new things, retains what she has learned, and is really starting to take the next step in generalization. Her obedience is coming along nicely and I think she will be a fun little dog to work in that venue, but she really shines in nose/scent work, passing her ORT on her first try back in March and earning legs toward AKC scentwork titles. We are working toward our first NW1 but there are a few more things I want to be sure she is solid on before we give that a go. She loves hanging out with me around the farm and is 100% reliable when out and about with people, dogs and other animals alike. She has become super rock solid environmentally and enjoys getting out for off property training and other adventures. She's not a fan of water yet, but we're working on that and have made progress using baby steps and positive associations (the dog who didn't care about or have interest in toys will now venture into belly deep water to get her toy). I think she is going to be a nice future fit in the breeding program! They say hindsight is 20/20, and I definitely feel that's the case with Meara, Moxie and Orla, but it was a lesson well learned for me and one I won't be repeating! Here's to forward progress and big, bright futures for these girls!

Handsome Baloo is quite the traveler! His humans drove out from Michigan to pick him up when he was ready to go home, so he road tripped back to his new home, and now he's on a road trip to New Mexico with his family! He's getting to see more of the country than a lot of people do! Good boy, handsome Baloo!
