It sure has been quiet at the clinic the last week as our students have headed off to school.

We are so thankful for all your hard work, and we are wishing you all the very best as you continue your journey toward becoming veterinarians. It has been such a pleasure getting to work with you all, we will miss having you around! Please come back soon!!

Kristen and Michael are starting vet school at Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine this fall, where Erin is starting her second year. Kyli is headed off to Abilene Christian University.

Wishing you all a wonderful school year!!

‼️‼️ This is a long read but important! ‼️‼️

🚨🚨 We have recently had 3 confirmed positive rabies cases in our county, and we want to remind our community just how important it is to keep your pets up to date on their rabies vaccination.
Rabies is a serious, fatal disease that can affect both animals and people. It is spread through the saliva of an infected animal, most commonly through a bite. Unfortunately, there is no cure once clinical signs develop but the good news is that rabies is highly preventable through vaccination.
Please take a moment to check your pet’s vaccination records. If your dog or cat is overdue or you aren't sure when their rabies vaccine is due, give us a call. We would be happy to help you get them protected.

☀️ Heat Advisory ☀️

With temperatures on the rise, help keep your pets safe!

🐾 Never leave your pet in a parked vehicle.
💧 Provide plenty of fresh water and shade.
🚶 Walk during the early morning or late evening, and avoid hot pavement.
⚠️ Watch for signs of overheating: excessive panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting, or collapse.

If you think your pet is suffering from heatstroke, move them to a cool area and contact the nearest available veterinary clinic immediately. Stay safe in this heat! ❤️
