Carl is healthy enough to play! ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ This is such a huge moment for him. He is about to start his heart worm treatment then he will be available for adoption.

We canโ€™t rescue our way out of this animal welfare crisis.

Kitten season and puppy season have hit every shelter, adoption center, and rescue HARD. Every day brings more animals needing help, while adoptions simply arenโ€™t keeping pace.

Weโ€™re doing everything we can to get our animals seen, loved, and into forever homes. Every adoption creates space for us to help another animal in need.

Weโ€™re also hopeful that even one landlord, property manager, or housing provider might take a fresh look at their pet policies. So many wonderful families are ready to adopt but struggle to find truly pet-friendly housing. A small change in policy could mean a life-changing opportunity for an animal waiting for a home.

In the meantime, weโ€™ll keep showing up, keep advocating, and keep sharing these faces in hopes that the right person sees them.

Did you know that more pets go missing around the 4th of July than any other time of the year?

A microchip gives your pet a voice when they canโ€™t tell someone where they belong.

The loud booms, flashing lights, and holiday celebrations can cause even the most well-behaved pets to panic and run. Unfortunately, many never make it back home because they donโ€™t have permanent identification.

Thatโ€™s why weโ€™re hosting a FREE Microchip Clinic before the holiday!

A microchip is a quick, safe, and permanent form of identification that greatly increases the chances of being reunited with your pet if they become lost. Collars can break and tags can fall off, but a microchip stays with your pet for life.

Donโ€™t wait until itโ€™s too late. Take a few minutes now to give your furry family member an extra layer of protection before the fireworks begin.

These two beautiful ladies somehow managed to create some of the cutest kittens weโ€™ve ever seenโ€ฆ while looking like theyโ€™d report you to management for making eye contact.

Many of you know and love Doggone Good Treasures in downtown Pine Mountain , an incredible resale shop that serves as the heart and lifeblood of the Humane Society of Harris County, GA. โค๏ธ

Right now, theyโ€™re in urgent need of furniture donations. Furniture sales are one of the shopโ€™s biggest sources of revenue, directly funding medical care, food, and shelter for animals in need throughout Harris County.

If you have furniture you no longer need or are planning to downsize, move, or refresh your home, please consider donating it! Items donโ€™t have to be perfect; our amazing volunteers can handle light repairs and touch-ups.
