Louie is one of my own personal Persians, but that doesn't mean he's thrilled with grooming!

Sometimes we have no other option but to shave mats out. This is the safest and most humane option when mats are severe and causing discomfort to a cat.

Sox is such a handsome boy! He's a Blue and White DSH and gets a good deshed groom. Rubber curry brushes are a great, gentle option for shorthaired shedding cats.

Pookie is a 15 year old shorthaired Tortie and she came in for her first bath with me. She had some dandruff, so we used a pre-treatment to help with that before shampooing. She was such a champ and VERY talkative! Thanks for visiting us Pookie ❤️

Trying out the new wide comb attachments from Wahl Professional Animal USA. They were purrfect for this large Maine Coon’s belly. I call this a “teddy tummy” and it’s a great option to take some hair off areas that mat or tangle easily without it being naked.

Leaving your cat for the first time can feel heavy, and a little preparation makes the transition much smoother.

There are three things first-time boarders often forget to pack that help cats settle in quickly. First, bring 1-2 items from home like a worn t-shirt or a small blanket that smells like home. Second, portion your cat's food into individual bags labeled with the meal size so we can follow their exact routine (or pack the scoop you use). Finally, write down and talk through all of their quirks, hiding habits, and what calms them down during drop-off so we can take detailed notes.

A little preparation at home means a lot less stress on day one. Is your cat a seasoned traveler or preparing for a first stay?
