😻Happy Caturday.😻

It's Sol, checking in again. This poor lady hasn't gotten much application interest.

Months ago, she was surrendered to the rescue to avoid euthanasia at another facility and brought here instead. With our help, she made a full recovery from a bladder stone without surgery.

She'd loves to have a family of her own. She's at the Mew Haven Cafe via Halfway Home Rescue Inc - go visit her! Or you can fill out an application on the rescue's website.

The white 🐘 in the room. Most people know it occurs but it's swept under the rug. And it shouldn't be.

Veterinary staff face intense emotional pressures, long hours, and high rates of burnout and su***de compared to the general public.

💙1 in 3 veterinary professionals have considered leaving the field due to poor mental health, and studies show elevated risks of severe psychological distress and suicidal ideation. We all here have known plenty of vets that aren't vets anymore sadly, some of us know a few vets that took/ attempted to take their lives.

💙30%-40% of vets report high levels of burnout- techs/ support staff are even higher (65%- 70%).

This is real and has only gotten worse.

This seems fitting to share since it's National Su***de Prevention Month, a dedicated time to raise awareness and reduce stigma.

Holy smokaroonies, those are some long roots! 📏 Did you know, the tooth 🦷 you see in your/their mouths is only the tip of the iceberg.... literally. Just as much tooth, if not more, is covered by gumline.

That's why pets have to be put under for dental cleanings. It takes tools, instruments, and sometimes xrays to fully evaluate the whole tooth and nothing but the whole tooth!

Can you handle the trooth about teeth?
