🎊Our pretty Cornelia patient has a funny name story. We were allowed to name her so we came up with Cornelius. Then she was completely shaved from her terrible mats and it was discovered she was a Cornelia. 🤪🤪😅

Anywho, we are pleased that she got adopted soon after cleaning her up and getting her back up to speed with medical care.

Look at her heart nose. 😍😍🫠

🎊Happy FriYAY!🎊 Meet Maria, she's been with us for several months. She is not new to tech life but the rescue and feral work that she's been thrown into here, is quite new. And she's acing it. 😻😻

She's fits in well with us coo coo rescue lovers. Here she's playing with our new foster, Frank (we will make a crazy cat lady out of her, yet).

The wittle baby Wren from Poodle Rescue Connecticut, Inc. stayed with us recently for her spay and teeth cleaning. She did phenomenal. Here she is in comparison to a house cat....all 4lbs of her. 🤣🤣

She's ready for a home.... please apply. She likes to play with dogs, cats and all sorts of people. She may love naps with employees. 🤫

🥝 Ms. Kiwi (the sick stray kitty who visited us as an emergency, actively miscarrying kittens😔) came to visit us recently- she's doing fine but needed some staples out. She was such a good girl for it!

She's ready to be adopted to a furever, medically responsible home. She will be at the Purr-toberfest at Mikro this Sunday with Halfway Home Rescue Inc . Come visit her! 🥝 🐾

✈️ 🐰 While dogs are common in airport therapy programs, rabbits are rare. But Clinton Airport in Arkansas (with Clover) and Bradley Airport in CT have bunnies. 🥰🥰

Bun Jovi and Berlin are giant rabbits weighing up to 22 pounds, and can be seen at Bradley to calm anxious travelers in the terminals.💟

Other animals at various airport therapy programs include pigs, llamas, and alpacas! 😊

We are thankful to be able to assist with great organizations that help the community. These cats were seen behind a store. They needed medical care so we squeezed them in last minute for exams, medicine, vaccines, surgeries, etc. Sadly many appeared to be previously owned or cared for animals that were dumped. 💔💔

Thank goodness for the feral and stray cat organizations that are able to fund other trappers/ rescuers to bring cats in for medical care when they can't afford themselves. These cats are now in the hands of people that hopefully will socialize them and get them adopted to medically responsible families so this doesn't happen again to these cats. 🤞🏼🤞🏼

We met a sad pup recently. One that was neglected and dumped. Most of the pet was in horrid condition, including the feet, which were painful with every step taken. The dog was one giant ouch from teeth to skin to eyes to ears to belly to joints.... the list was never ending.

This is an example of allergies and skin conditions not treated. With professional help and medication, this was preventable and maybe even reversible, early on.

Don't wait, early intervention of health concerns is necessary. It pays to have a hospital you frequent yearly and doctor that knows your pet. Not "believing" in annual care at a hospital or bouncing from clinic to clinic hurts more pets than one can imagine.

Poor pup, humans failed this sweet baby, badly. 💔💔

National Veterinary Technician week has commenced so we have to bring attention to the stars of all hospitals: techs. Techs bring skill and heart to every animal they care for.😻

They do everything from triaging appointments to housecalls to assisting in surgery to taking xrays or ultrasounds. When they aren't doing diagnostic tests or administering medications they are advocating for animals and providing care in some the most gut wrenching situations.

This job requires intelligence, common sense, compassion, creativity, thick skin, resilience and loyal dedication. Their job is emotional and very demanding mentally and physically.

We love our techs; they work hard to improve patient outcomes, better client's visit and help the their doctor's day. We could NOT do it without them. 🐾 😻
