It is with a very heavy heart that I am writing this. I have accepted a position as a Veterinary Medical Officer with the USDA and have sold my practice. I will still be available for your chiropractic, acupuncture, PRP therapy and equine needs but it will be structured differently, mostly a select Saturday. Thank you everyone for your faith and trust in me over the last 30 years. I will fiercely miss my clients and patients. The clinic will still be available for your pet needs and there will even be some familiar faces.

I wanted to let everyone know that I will be out of the office this week due to a family emergency. We have attempted to reach everyone that is scheduled for appointments and reschedule them. Friends, I know that many of you have called the office to check on me after my surgery and you have no idea how much I appreciate your concern. I actually ended up having surgery on Wednesday morning and came home the same day. Wednesday and Thursday were a little rough, but Friday was much better. Swelling was decreasing in my hand and I was starting to get some flexion and extension back. I’ve been minding the Dr’s orders and taking it easy and icing the area frequently. I go back in 2 weeks for a post op follow up and until then I’m in a soft cast. So, I am planning on being back in the office on Monday but likely with some limits. Bear with me folks. I want this to work and get back to normal ASAP. Thank you for your prayers and patience.

Due to the travel lockdown in Boone County, we may possibly be going to some differing hours than our normal 8 am to 5 pm. However, Dr. Schmidt is still available if needed for emergencies. It might be a good idea to call ahead and make sure the office is open before coming by to pick up medications. We are taking payments over the phone and delivering it to your vehicle as needed to increase social distancing. Help us help you. We can also come and get your animal from your vehicle if needed. Please call and let us know when you arrive. This will cut down on the number of people in the office. We love seeing everyone, but the situation is a bit strained right now. We will however, love on your pet a little extra while you aren’t here. Just call ahead to make arrangements. Thank you for your help.
