UPDATE:

It was a long night. Caleb has been in and out of it, and he still doesn’t remember anything that happened or anything that has been happening since the accident.

His neck brace was taken off around 3:30 this morning, which is a blessing. Being able to move his neck on his own is a huge step and something we’re thankful for. He also was able to drink a small amount of water.

His leg is starting to bother him more, so they’ve increased his pain medication, and just hoping he can finally get some much-needed rest.

So thankful for every little bit of progress. Please keep the prayers coming. 🤍

Update on Caleb from his wife ! The breathing tube is OUT, and he is ALERT & TALKING! 🥹🙌🏼

After the longest, scariest day, this feels like such a huge answered prayer. He still has a long road ahead of him but seeing him awake and hearing his voice again is something I can’t even put into words.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, to everyone who has prayed, checked on us, sent messages, and kept Caleb in your thoughts. Please keep those prayers coming as he continues to heal!! 🤎

This is from Caleb’s Wife !!!UPDATE 🤍

He just went back for surgery on his tibia. They are placing a rod in his leg and also doing work on his knee. The surgery is expected to take a few hours.

Once he is back, they are going to try to take the breathing tube out. They are also going to remove the collar from his neck and see how he does without it. If he is able to move his neck comfortably, they will be able to leave the collar off.

I was able to get him to wake up several times while I was with him, and he was able to talk to me through the notes app on my phone.

There were a couple of times when he woke up very confused, one time asking where he was, and another time asking me, “how high did I fly in the air?” But I was so thankful to hear from him and know he was there with me.

He was able to squeeze my hand 3 times to tell me “I love you” 🥹

His MRI came back showing that the brain bleed has stopped and has not spread, which is such a huge answer to prayer. 🙏🏻

Please continue to keep him in your prayers. We still have a long road ahead, but we are taking it one step at a time!

This is the latest news from Caleb’s Wife following last nights injury with the Bull !

Thank you to everyone who has said a prayer for my husband, Caleb Wright. It truly means more than I can put into words. 🤎

He was in a very bad accident last night involving a bull and was airlifted to The Med. I was finally able to see him around 4:30 this morning.

He has a small brain bleed, and they will be doing more scans soon to monitor it. He also has two fractured vertebrae in his spine, and his left ankle is broken. He will need surgery on his ankle, hopefully today.

Right now, he is fully sedated and on a ventilator with the breathing tube breathing for him. They did try to lighten his sedation and wake him up, but he immediately tried to pull his breathing tube out. Needless to say, they have him fully sedated again.

I’m waiting for the doctors to come in so we can talk more about his surgery and the next steps, as well as get the results from his brain scans.

Please continue to pray for healing, strength, and patience for all of us. We know this is going to be a long road, but we are taking it one moment at a time.
