A dog is not a temporary commitment until they become inconvenient or expensive. Not a trial period to see if it works out. Not something you keep until circumstances change. A dog is LIFETIME commitment. Through puppyhood, adulthood, senior years. Through health and sickness. Through easy times and expensive vet emergencies. Through convenient and massively inconvenient. You commit to their ENTIRE LIFE however long that is. From the day you bring them home until their very last breath. That's the promise you make. That's the responsibility you accept. Lifetime. Forever. No exceptions, no excuses, no surrender when it gets hard. If you're not ready to commit for their entire lifetime, don't get the dog. They deserve forever homes.
