Over the weekend, Ally's dream of becoming an ARBA Judge became a reality, as she judged her first official show as judge #1076! Huge thank you to The Greater Pittsburgh RBA for the opportunity! Also thank you to the exhibitors for being so kind and welcoming, and making this first judging experience one to remember!

She even had the honor of picking a Best in Show for Open show B. A New Zealand buck was selected for Reserve in Show, and a Standard Chinchilla for Best in Show!

Looking forward to the next three judging assignments in May, followed by county fair season picking up! 🐰

I'm so excited to share that I am ARBA judge #1076! 🐰

As a young 4-Her starting out with her first rabbit project dreaming of the day that I would have the privilege of evaluating rabbits to help fellow breeders, to being behind the show table with the esteemed honor of being a licensed judge, I feel so blessed! I am so ready for what this license has in store for me in the years ahead! 🫶

I want to thank everyone that has believed in me and has pushed me to finally build up the courage to continue on this process, and I want to send a HUGE thank you to my 8 incredible judges' assists: Misty Polasik , Donald Sheets , Cole Rupprecht , Johnny Haussener , Matt Bishop , Kendal Bledsoe , Bryan Shirk , and Paul Kyle, as well as our district director Mary Ellen Stamets for her continuous support! The knowledge I have gained ever since my first assist at the PA Farm Show, has meant the world to me, and I am truly thankful!

I'm looking forward to my first judging assignment in a few weeks! And hopefully a few more after that! 🥰

I always find it so fascinating watching the babies kick mom before they make their arrival! We had 3 Silver Marten does kindle today, and are anxiously awaiting the arrivals from this doe, hopefully tonight or tomorrow! 🤞 Lots of blues in our future?? 💙

Judges' assists #6 with Kendal Bledsoe and #7 with Bryan Shirk this weekend for Ally! Thank you to the Pandemic Palooza Show team and the Washington County PA Rabbit Breeders show team for this opportunity! One more judges' assist to go, then cross your fingers that Ally passes and becomes a licensed judge! ♥️🐰

This past weekend, Ally traveled to the Cayuga Lake Rabbit and Cavy Festival in Auburn, NY, and completed her 4th and 5th Rabbit Judges' Assists with Johnny Haussener and Matt Bishop! Another great weekend of learning from two people highly admired in this hobby! 3 more judges assists to go!

Judging assists #2 and #3 were completed with Don Sheets and Cole Rupprecht at Pasrba in Lebanon, PA! I had the opportunity to help evaluate running breeds on Saturday and Rare Breeds on Sunday. I had a blast with both judges, and learned so much! So incredibly thankful for the opportunities I've been given!

Carl showed his two Czech Frosties, and his doe bred by Mikayla Brey was BOSB on Saturday, and his buck bred by Dori was BOB on Sunday, and had a 2nd look in his group for best in show!

My Silver Martens, specifically my blacks, just weren't in the best coat this weekend, so we only entered 3 blues and 1 chocolate. The Chocolate had a few Opposite Variety wins, and our blues had a few Variety and Opposite Variety wins as well!

My focus continues to be on soaking up as much knowledge as I can from esteemed judges during my assists, and I'm loving every minute of it! 🐰

It's a cold one in Central PA! 12+ inches of snow, with below freezing temperatures. Our auto water lines are frozen in our main Rabbitry room, so warm water dishes multiple times a day are a must!

Ally completed her first rabbit judges' assist 2 weeks ago at the PA Farm Show under CA Judge Misty Polasik! It was an incredible first judging experience, and now it's full steam ahead to the next two assists at PaSRBA in February!

We thought we would share on our Rabbitry page, that Ally passed her ARBA rabbit Judges test! 🎉 She will now complete 8 Judging assists, and must pass under 6 of these judges, then she will become a licensed judge!
