HIKIN’ BUDDIES STARTS TOMORROW, JUNE 3RD!

Starting this Wednesday, June 3rd at 9:30am, join us for Hikin’ Buddies—our summer enrichment hiking program where community members can take one of our adoptable dogs out for a hike at Adam’s Gulch!

Why we love it:
🐶 Gives shelter dogs a break from the kennel
🌲 Provides exercise, enrichment, and fresh air
❤️ Helps us learn more about each dog in real-world settings
📸 Gives our pups extra exposure to potential adopters

Whether you’re looking for a hiking buddy for the morning or hoping to meet your future best friend, we’d love to see you there.
Please note: Hike-able dogs go out on a first-come, first-serve basis. You must be 18+ years to hike alone with a shelter dog.

FOSTER HERO NEEDED — Meet Osito!

This compact, fun-loving adventure buddy is looking for a temporary foster home while he finds his forever family. Osito is the zoomies king, a hiking enthusiast, and once he knows you — he will absolutely worship the ground you walk on. 🤍

He does great with tolerant dogs or as an only pet, and our behavior team will set you up with a simple step-by-step plan to build his trust with grooming and handling. We provide everything — food, gear, crates, toys, and full support. You just bring the fun!

One heads up — he is a door-dashing opportunist, so an x-pen at the front door is a must. We've got you covered there too. 😄
Ready to be his person for a little while?

Spot came. Spot saw. Spot conquered.

This tiny bolt of lightning took on the water today — one cautious little toe at a time. First the smile. Then the dip. And then — one tiny step deeper — you could almost see the confidence growing in real time. That is the magic of Spot. 💦🐾
Spot is available for adoption at Mountain Humane — come meet this little guy before someone else does!

Thank You Bad to the Bone: Fresh cuts, fresh starts. ✂️🐾

Spud and Prince came to us from an animal neglect rescue in rough shape — but thanks to the generous talent of Malaunie Gerard, owner of Bad to the Bone Pet Grooming in Ketchum, ID, these two handsome guys are stepping into their next chapter looking and feeling like new.

Malaunie donated her time and we are so grateful. This is what community looks like. Thank you!

Camila is pure puppy energy bottled up in the most adorable Husky mix you've ever seen — and this video is proof. 😂🐾

This little stray came to us as a mystery, but her personality has been anything but. Camila is busy, bouncy, and absolutely bursting with life. She wants to be a good girl. She is TRYING to be a good girl. But when you have places to go, things to jump on, and an entire world to explore — sitting still is a challenging task.

Camila is looking for a home ready for full-on puppy life — training, adventures, and plenty of love. If you have the energy to keep up with her and the patience to practice that sit-stay a few hundred more times — she is so worth it.
Could that be you?

Meet Cece — and meet the kind of trust that has to be earned. 🤍

Cece is selective about everything — her treats, her people, her pace. And honestly? We respect it. This sweet, shy girl doesn't hand her heart over easily, but when she does, she gives it completely. Watching her slowly open up has been one of the most rewarding things our team has experienced.

Cece is looking for a calm, patient home with dog-savvy owners who will give her the time and space she needs to blossom. She doesn't need much — just someone willing to earn her trust. And we promise, it will be worth every single moment.
Could that be you? 🐾
