We provide complete medical and surgical care for dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, ferrets and smaller pets. Celebrating a special milestone today!

We’re happy to recognize our amazing technician, Drenna, as she reaches her 1-year anniversary since returning to the practice. After a short time away, she realized what many of us already knew—she missed the team, the work, and the energy of being here—and we were fortunate to welcome her back in a part-time role.

With a career in the medical field that began in 1983, she brings an incredible depth of experience and perspective. Over the decades, she has seen—and embraced—the remarkable evolution of medicine and continues to bring that same curiosity and adaptability to her work today.

Her knowledge, steady presence, and dedication are a real asset to the team, and we’re grateful to have her with us.

Here’s to one year back with us—and to the expertise and care she continues to share every day!

Summer fun is just around the corner and before you know it firework season will be in full swing. If you have a beloved pet that doesn’t enjoy the festivities - please reach out to our office, now it the perfect time to prepare a treatment plan.

Some basic tips include
• Keeping your pets indoors in a secure area. Leash walk dogs for potty breaks.
• Make sure your pets have on an ID collar and/or microchip.
• Be with your pets to offer comfort.
• Cover windows to block bright flashes from fireworks.
• Use a white noise machine or utilize a TV/Radio to help mask the loud noises.
• Over-the-counter Nutraceuticals or synthetic pheromones such as Composure Pro or Adaptil and Feliway can be beneficial.
• Some pets may benefit from prescription medications- NEVER use your own prescriptions! Please call our office to discuss what makes the most sense for your pets.

Amber brings compassion, dedication, and an incredible commitment to patient care to our practice every day. As a veterinary technician, she is not only an incredible advocate for her patients, but also a champion for making every visit as Fear Free as possible — always taking the extra time to ensure our patients feel safe, comfortable, and cared for.

Her love for all things cats and her extensive foster care experience truly reflect the size of her heart. Whether caring for feline patients, supporting clients, or helping foster pets thrive, she consistently goes above and beyond.

Today we’re proud to celebrate Dr. Shockey and 4 wonderful years as a veterinarian with our practice! 🎉🐾

This milestone is especially meaningful because her journey with us began during veterinary school. It has been such a privilege to watch her grow from student extern to the compassionate, skilled veterinarian she is today, and we couldn’t be more proud of the growth she has achieved throughout her career.

Dr. Shockey has developed special interests in German Shepherds (her own Seven and Slater are prominent in all aspects of her life), behavioral consults and treatment, and exotic patient care, with a particular passion for caring for house birds, rabbits, and rats. Her thoughtful approach, clinical knowledge, and genuine compassion make a lasting impact on both her patients and their families.

Congratulations, Dr. Shockey, on this exciting milestone. Thank you for your dedication, your growth, and the exceptional care you provide every day — we are so grateful to have you as part of our team and look forward to many more years ahead! 💙

🏐💥 It’s that time of year again! 💥🏐

Our teams are gearing up once again for the annual MUDD Volleyball Tournament through the Community Free Clinic of Washington County! 🌧️🟤🔥 We’re ready to get down and dirty for a great cause and another unforgettable day of muddy fun.
Get ready for muddy dives, messy serves, and lots of laughs as we battle it out on the court. We’re excited to represent, have fun, and make some unforgettable memories along the way!

Come cheer us on and support the team as we (try to) bump, set, and spike through the mud! 💪🏐

If you would like to make a donation to the cause, in-person donations can be made at the office. Online fundraising will be available in the future — more info to come!
