It's been getting humid and hot consistently lately. The pavement is got on their paws too- walk on the grass whenever possible. Limit exercise outside to early mornings and late evenings when the temps are cooler, and pay attention to overheating signs. When the temperatures have heat warnings, switch the walk to a potty break and indoor exercise instead. I like to do brain games and catch indoors for exercise instead of long walks on those days with my clients.

I would love to pet sit some adorable prehistoric looking creatures. Anyone with a turtle need a sitter? I saw this cutie at Stephens State Park while enjoying the nice weather recently. I am thinking about offering nature walks for leash trained doggies who need a nice long excursion while their parents are busy. What do you think? Would you like that for your pup?

Tongue pic for a hot day! Be alert to your fur child's temperature through the day. As a pet sitter, we are always alert to the health and well being of the fur children in our care. We are always in constant communication with the parents of our clients and doing what we can to keep the healthy while their parents are away.

The first two hot summer days after cooler weather means higher risk of heat stroke. Ask your vet how to prevent heat stroke and the signs to look for!
