Bad things happen to good pets when we: Don't spay and neuter them, don't confine them, and don't give them proper care. The Guthrie Animal Shelter is a city-run facility and it is responsible for the corporate city limits of Guthrie.

It’s that time of the year again! Last year’s license/registration tags expire on June 1, so make sure your dogs and cats are dressed for the season with the City of Guthrie’s latest fashion tags. They’re required for every furry K9 and feline citizen residing in the city limits. $3 for animals who are celibate (fixed) and $40 for those who can still step out on the town. You can get your tags at City Hall, the Animal Shelter, or any local veterinarian.

Adopted!

🐾 Meet Alvin! 🐾

This sweet 6 to 8-week-old kitten is the last of his litter — his brothers, Simon and Theodore, have already found their forever homes, leaving little Alvin waiting for his turn. 💛

Just like his name suggests, Alvin is full of personality! He’s playful, adventurous, and always ready to make you smile with his curious antics. When he’s not busy chasing toys or exploring, he loves curling up for a cozy nap and soaking up all the cuddles he can get.

If you’ve been looking for a kitten with a big heart and even bigger charm, Alvin is your guy! 🐱❤️
