Adoptable cats and kittens

10/19/2026

Warning: Some of the photos below may be difficult to view.

When Henry arrived at GVAWL in January 2026, his ribs were pronounced, his broken left, rear leg hung from his body, his teeth were in horrible condition, and he had pellets throughout his body.
Henry required three separate surgeries: amputation of his rear leg, his neuter along with a dental procedure resulting in the removal of multiple teeth, and a follow-up dental surgery to remove one of his canine teeth (a hole in his gum was infected and the infection was traveling towards his jaw).

Thanks to volunteered surgery time, amazing local veterinarians, GVAWL staff, and Wags and Menace Make a Difference Program Foundation for funding, Henry is now loving life in his failed foster home where he goes to work every day with his parents and comes home to his animal siblings. He loves walks, car rides, laying in the sun, cuddling on the couch, and teaching his foster dog siblings how "to dog" now that he knows how himself.

‼️ MISSING ‼️

We want to thank every single person who has dropped off donations for the animals at GVAWL. From dog beds, to cat food, to homemade dog treats, these donations are all greatly appreciated by us and the cats and dogs. These donations allow us to save some funding on these basic needs and put them towards larger expenses such as veterinary care, electricity and water, dry cat and dog food, and more.

So thank you so very much 🐾🐾❤️❤️

If you want to send a treat to the animals in our care, our wishlist can be found at:

https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/M6URNDVOF7WB?ref_=wl_share.

But of course, we always encourage shopping local 📍❤️

NOTE: The beautiful dog in the photo is available for adoption 😍

We have a full house right now on the cat and dog sides (check out our story for information on our cats). If you would like to send a gift to the animals, here are our top needs at the moment:

1) Soft Dog Cookies

2) Wet and Dry Dog Food- Wet is not brand specific, Dry is NutriSource

3) Wet and Dry Cat and Kitten food- Neither are brand specific, but they prefer shreds or sauce like wet food over paté.

4) New litter boxes (not as important as the above listed items)

5) kitten milk replacement...powdered or premade liquid

We would love to thank in advance anyone who sends a treat our way for the animals. It will be extremely appreciated by us and our adoptable animals
