Tired Dog Rescue TDR is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that finds homes for abused, abandoned, neglected dogs, and those whose owners are no longer able to care for them.

We focus on small dogs (20 lb. or less) from across the Gulf Coast. Tired Dog Rescue strives to find homes for dogs in need, build quality relationships with responsible owners, and preserve current dog-family homes by seeking solutions to financial, behavioral and situational dog problems. We believe that the lives of homeless, abandoned and abused dogs are just as precious as dogs currently in a loving home. All dogs deserve a loving home regardless of age, medical conditions and/or disabilities. Medical care should be provided regardless of cost. All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm negative and current on vaccinations before being placed.

🐾 Well, hello there! I’m Diachi, and I hear I’m kind of a big deal! ❤️

Move over! There’s a new little guy looking for his happily ever after, and I’m ready for my close-up!

I’m an 8.9-pound, 8-year-old Chihuahua, a perfect little gentleman, and a certified cuddle bug. I’m leash trained, housebroken, and dog-friendly. Basically, I’m the whole package in a very small box!

I’ve spent my whole life with one family, but life has thrown me a little plot twist, and now I need a new family to love.

I’m not asking for a mansion, a fancy car, or even a book advance. Just a cozy bed, a warm lap, and someone who thinks gray hairs and golden years make a dog even more lovable.

So, what do you say? Ready to make me the leading man in your life?

Apply to adopt me at tireddogrescue.org.

My publicist (also known as Tired Dog Rescue) is accepting applications now! ❤️🐾

Hi! My name is Arlo, and I’m a 6-month-old male Cavalier King Charles Spaniel/Poodle mix weighing about 12 pounds. And yes… I come with a LOT of luxurious floof! ☁️🐶 Please keep that in mind because regular grooming is definitely in my future!

I’m a super special boy because I’m deaf. ❤️ My foster has been working with me using hand signals, and I’m doing great! Because of my special needs, I’ll need a dog-experienced home that is patient, committed to training, and willing to learn right along with me.

I’m still very much a BABY! 🍼 I’m curious, energetic, and still learning that human hands and arms are NOT chew toys. 😂 I’m working on my puppy nipping and chewing, so I would do best with children who understand puppy behavior and know how to appropriately interact with dogs.

👧👦 I LOVE kids! I’m really good with my foster family’s children, who are 4 and 5 years old and have a great understanding of how to interact appropriately with dogs. I enjoy being around them and would love a home where I can continue having positive experiences with dog-savvy kids!

🏡 House training is still a work in progress. I’m not completely potty trained yet, so a patient home with a consistent routine is a must. My new family may even need to get up during the night for a potty break while I continue learning.

🐶 I LOVE other dogs! I’m definitely more of a follower than a leader, and I really benefit from having other dogs around. I would do best in a home with other pets, especially another friendly dog who can help show me the ropes.

Having another dog may also make life a little easier when it comes to getting me to come inside! Since I’m deaf, I can’t hear my family calling me when I’m outside. I tend to follow the other dogs, so having a canine buddy who heads inside can help me know that it’s time to come in, too. ❤️

I sleep just fine in my crate at night, but I definitely don’t want to spend all day in there! If I’m your only dog, I would need a home where someone is around frequently and is committed to continuing my training.

🌳 I have plenty of puppy energy and MUST have a securely fenced yard where I can safely run, play, explore, and show off my toys. Because I’m deaf, a secure fence is especially important for my safety since I cannot hear a recall or approaching hazards.

Being deaf doesn’t stop me from being a happy, playful, loving puppy! I just communicate and learn a little differently. With the right family — and ideally some furry friends — I’m going to be an incredible companion. ❤️

✨ The important stuff:
• 6 months old
• Male Cavalier King Charles Spaniel/Poodle mix
• Approximately 12 pounds
• Deaf
• Learning hand signals
• Loves kids and does well with dog-savvy children
• Great with other dogs and would benefit from having a canine companion
• More of a follower and learns from other dogs
• Crate trained overnight
• House training in progress
• Puppy nipping/chewing still being worked on
• Securely fenced yard required
• Dog-experienced home required
• Heartworm negative
• Up to date on vaccines
• Already neutered

I’m ready to find the person who will see that being a little different doesn’t make me any less special. I have so much love, fun, and puppy mischief to give!

Think this fluffy little prince might be your Prince Charming? 👑🐾❤️

POOL TIME WITH ARLO! 🐾💦

Just look at this handsome boy enjoying some fun at doggy daycare! Arlo may be deaf, but that doesn’t slow this six-month-old Cavapoo down one bit. He’s learning, playing, making friends, and enjoying all the good stuff life has to offer! ❤️

Arlo is available for adoption through Tired Dog Rescue in Gulfport, Mississippi. He’s looking for a loving, patient family who will continue using hand signals and help him stay safe while he shows you just how special he is.

Who wouldn’t want this sweet floofy face splashing into their life? 🐶💦

Arlo had a great time at doggy daycare. He can’t wait to go back. Thank you.

Meet Penny Lane. She’s only 7.2 pounds, but this sweet little senior girl deserves a whole lot of love. ❤️
Penny Lane was found as a stray, and it breaks your heart to think about a little girl her age having to fend for herself in this big, scary world. At around 12 years old, she should be spending her days curled up in a soft bed, soaking up affection, and knowing she never has to wonder where she belongs.
Instead, Penny has some medical needs to take care of before she can start her next chapter. She’s scheduled for an ECG screening, spay, umbilical hernia repair, bladder stone surgery (cystotomy), and dental cleaning on November 2.
That’s a lot for such a tiny girl, but Penny deserves the chance to feel better, be comfortable, and enjoy whatever happy days lie ahead.
Senior dogs have a special kind of magic. They aren't asking for much. Just a safe place, a gentle hand, a warm lap, and someone who sees them as worth loving, no matter their age.
We don't know what Penny Lane's life looked like before she was found. But we sure would love for the rest of her story to be filled with kindness, comfort, and the kind of love every little dog deserves.
Could you be the person who shows Penny Lane that her best days aren't behind her? Maybe her happily-ever-after is still waiting to find her.
