What a special day for one of our campers! One of our favorite parts about Club Paws is watching compassion turn into action and today, we got to witness something truly heartwarming.

After participating in several “Doggy Day Outs” and spending time getting to know some of our shelter pets over the past few summers, Club Paws member Olivia and her family finally found the perfect new addition to their family.🐾❤️

We are so happy for Ripley as she begins this exciting new chapter surrounded by love, and we couldn’t be prouder of Olivia for continuing to be an advocate for adoption. Her kindness and commitment to helping shelter animals is exactly what Club Paws summer day camp is all about.

Today, Flint turns 6 months old.
For most puppies, a 6-month birthday doesn't seem like a big deal. But for puppies who grow up in a shelter, it means something very different.

Flint came to us on February 7th with his entire litter. They were processed, vaccinated, dewormed, and settled into their very first
kennel. As they grew, they moved into bigger spaces. For Flint, that would be the first of 14 kennel moves.

At just 3 months old, Flint had an adopter waiting for him up north. He only needed to wait two more weeks before he was going to leave.
But two weeks became, "Maybe they'll follow through next time." A few weeks later, it happened again. And then again. And then again.
Four different times, Flint was chosen. Four different times, someone decided on another puppy instead.

One by one, his littermates left. And Flint stayed.

For four months, Flint has known kennel walls, shelter sounds, and the routine of waiting. Waiting for breakfast. Waiting for enrichment.
Waiting for visitors. Waiting for someone to stop at his kennel and see him. Waiting for his turn.

Let's make sure this sweet boy never has to spend another birthday in a shelter.

Flint is ready for summer adventures. He's ready for toys in the living room, naps on the couch, and a family to call his own.

Most of all, he's ready to finally go home. Stop by the shelter this week Tuesday-Friday between 10am-5pm or Saturday between 10am-4pm to meet this angel for yourself.

brought us a whole lot of wagging tails and even bigger smiles! 🐾💙

Today, some of our shelter pups had the honor of visiting with the incredible campers of CAMP Awesome and jt was just that… AWESOME!

Our shelter pups and the campers brought out the very best in one another. The joy on everyone’s faces was a beautiful reminder that connection comes in many forms, and sometimes all it takes is a wet nose and a wagging tail to brighten someone’s day.🌞

Meet Gizmo, the newest member of HSSM's "I am entirely too old for this nonsense" club.

This distinguished 12-year-old gentleman would like everyone to know that he has already paid his dues in life and does not understand why he's spending his golden years in a shelter. Quite frankly, he can't even.

He doesn't need chaos. He doesn't need drama. He needs a comfy bed, some snacks, a loving human, and a front-row seat to silently judge your life choices from across the room.

If you've been thinking about adopting, this little old man would love a house to retire in style. Please come rescue him from having to supervise us any longer. He ain't got time for this place.

HSSM's adoption center will be open tomorrow from 10am to 5pm.

HSSM is looking for foster HEROES to help our tiniest feline friends thrive while they wait for their forever homes.

HSSM will provide you with everything you need: food, supplies, medical care, and support. You just have to provide the home and the love!

We currently have kittens of EVERY kind looking for foster homes:
Gray kittens, black kittens, orange kittens, tabby kittens, and even mama cats with their babies.

And they all come with their own unique personalities! We've got spicy kittens, sweet kittens, silly kittens, playful kittens, snuggly kittens and even some kittens that are feeling under the weather that need some extra TLC.

By opening your home for just a short time, you're giving these vulnerable pets the chance to grow, heal, socialize, and prepare for adoption. Every foster home means another life saved.

Meet Mocha & Cocoa, two adorable 3-year-old Shih Tzu brothers who are searching for a forever home together. Weighing in at about 25 pounds each, these sweet boys recently found themselves at HSSM after their previous owner could no longer care for them. While their world has changed, one thing remains constant, their love for each other.

Mocha and Cocoa are a bonded pair, which means they must be adopted together. The good news? You'll get twice the tail wags, twice the cuddles, and two built-in best friends who already know how to share life's adventures side by side. 🐾
