Patient Patches was evaluated at Animal Emergency Care after sustaining a proptosed eye (displacement of the eye from the orbit).

Dr. Deeb performed a temporary tarsorrhaphy, a procedure in which the eyelids are partially closed to protect the eye, maintain positioning, and support healing following repositioning into the orbit. The goal is to preserve the eye and maximize the chance of a functional recovery.

Two patients were treated today for THC exposure after ingesting ma*****na products.
THC toxicity is common and preventable. Pets are attracted to the smell, and even small amounts can cause significant clinical signs.

Store all cannabis products securely and remain vigilant on walks, as pets may ingest discarded items.
Both patients are recovering well.
