So my fish spotlight has had some good results. I am going to start a fish du jour segment. The panda garra is a small mostly peaceful cyprinidae from south east Asia. It grows 2 to 3.5 inches and is best kept in cool fast flowing water as they come from mountain streams. They will eat most anything but make sure they have some driftwood to graze on. They will also graze on the bio film on the surfaces of the tank.

It is suggested that they are kept in at least 20 gallons and three to five to a tank. The site said you could keep tough plants with them but I would be careful of what you put in. They have eaten my Anubias.

I have not kept these for myself it says breeding is difficult due to identification of sexes and some aggression while breeding.

I have them for 7.50 each.
