As many of you know we have had a new adventure today, the marsh behind our property caught fire late this morning. We have been monitoring its progress and thanks to Lake County Fire, Groveland Fire Dept and the forestry department it’s been moving away.
All of the horses are doing fine just a little excited with the new smells and the helicopters flying overhead. We will continue to monitor the progress but we are praying for a calm evening!

Thank you to all of those that have reached out, stopped by and offered help in case we had to move horses!
Appreciate our HWAM family! 🩵🤍🩵

🩵🤍From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU! 🐴✨

What an incredible evening at our Annual Gala! We are so grateful to everyone who came out to celebrate Horses With A Mission and help support the students, horses, and families who make our program so special.

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing sponsors and donors for your continued generosity and belief in our mission. Your support makes such a difference and helps us continue providing Equine Assisted Activities to our students. 🩵🤍

Thank you to our incredible volunteers for giving your time, energy, and hearts to HWAM all year long. We truly could not do what we do without you.

A huge thank you to JR Reich for once again providing the amazing music that helped make the evening so much fun!

And finally, thank you to Arlington Ridge for welcoming us back and hosting another wonderful gala.

Our hearts are full of gratitude. 🩵🤍

Thank you for believing in our mission, supporting our dreams, and helping us make a difference—one stride at a time.

🐾 In Loving Memory of Moose 🐾

It’s a sad week for us here at the farm we said goodbye to our beloved barn cat, Moose. ❤️

For the past 5 years, Moose kept us all on our toes and gave us more memories than we could ever count. From getting himself stuck in a tree at Cherrylake, to becoming the best mouser we have ever had, Moose certainly made his mark on our barn and in all of our hearts.

We’re going to miss watching you slowly stroll by us, pretending we didn’t see you. 😹 We’ll miss you stealing our food at lunchtime, greeting every student and parent who came through the barn, and making us check every car because, of course, you thought sneaking into vehicles was part of your job!

You were so much more than a barn cat. You were part of our Horses With A Mission family. You brought laughter, personality, and a little bit of chaos to our days, and the barn simply won’t feel the same without you.

Thank you for giving us five wonderful years with you. And thank you for spending your last couple of months doing what you did best—training the kittens to take over your very important role. We know they have some big paws to fill. 🐾🩵🤍

It’s not goodbye, Moose… it’s see you later.
Run free, sweet boy, and say hi to Prince for us. ❤️🐾

You will be missed more than you know.
Until we meet again.

Yesterday, we said goodbye to our beloved Dakota. 🩵🤍🐴

For the last couple years, you showed us what true grit, determination, and courage look like. Through every challenge you faced, you continued to show your strength and spirit, teaching us far more than we could ever have taught you.

Dakota, you were so easy to love and quickly became a favorite among our volunteers and students. You brought joy, laughter, and so many special memories to Horses With A Mission. You will forever hold a special place in all of our hearts.

I’m not sure what I’m going to do during morning feedings without hearing the “music” you would make while patiently waiting for your breakfast. Those sounds that once made me smile will now be one of the things I miss the most and the barn a little more quiet.

Run free in heaven, my friend. 🌈🐴
Thank you for the memories, the lessons, and all the love you gave us.

You will be deeply missed, Dakota. Until we meet again. 🩵🤍
