This good boy met his Mom and knew her like it was meant to be. Cuz it was. Now known as Boady, he and Tia will watch out for each other and be the best besties there could be here forward. Boady has some furry cousins to meet yet and they will all be the best of playmates. Huge thanks to Wendy Bemis at Creative Canine Training for giving them a good start! Thanks to our shelter volunteers for giving him your time and love while he waited this out getting all medical stuff current. Mostly, thanks to Tia and the extended family for bringing this boy home! Congratulations!!! ❤️🐾🎉

Bart has gone to his furever family and home! He was so happy to show off his cat-dog skills to the Cline’s! They have prepped their home and hearts for this day and we are overjoyed for all. Congratulations and thank you for choosing this sweet, playful boy. It’s a great match! ❤️🐾

Congratulations to the class of 2026 graduates! We honor especially, those who embrace service above self. And thank those specifically who have joined us in our mission; Saving animals, serving community.
Cat Crew Volunteer, Faith Yuchuck. Faith also participates with the Trenton Writers Group. Faith has a deep commitment in Christ, she enjoys her art, dance and music groups. She loves serving at the shelter. A real heart for the most vulnerable animals.
Kennel Crew Volunteer, Brooke Roman. Brooke will be attending Grand Valley State University to study statistics. She has danced at Grosse Ile Academy of Dance and done gymnastics at Downriver Gymnastics both since she was 4 years old. She was member of Key Club and Girl Up club.

PUPDATE: Returned to her relieved owners.

Found unrestrained in the area of Meridian and Lakewood. No tags. Wearing a pink electric fence collar. Appears to be a senior dog. Please text or call 734-552-7436 if this is your dog.

It’s been wild this week with some very happy endings for cats near and far! Sunny finally worked up the courage and his Mom saw him on their ring cam after being out about a week. She was able to get him back in the house! 🎉. Grounded!

Hank the Tank that had injured paw from Ferry weeks ago. His rescuers adopted him and took him home yesterday!! All patched up, neutered, and vaccinated. He has been purrrring and is very happy to not be an outside boy any more. Thank you Paul and Rainbow for giving him this next best life!

My niece text me from Chicago yesterday a cat outside her place was getting attacked by crows. She brought it in to safety, took it to her vet to check for a microchip, and posted on their local message board. No hits. Til today! A man is missing his best friend and it was from his car so she’d have never found home. The universe stepped in and brought them all together. I offered to personally sponsor a vet visit to include a microchip. ❤️
