Luton Performance Horses Luton Performance Horses Rob Luton has been highly involved with horses for more than 30 years. We start riders at 5 years old to adult. by appointment only.

He is currently running a training facility and lessons program on the beautiful island of Grosse Ile. He has been teaching youth and adults the elements of horsemanship for over 20 years. Rob has taken many young horses and turned them into Regional and National Champions and has also taken many riders from their first ride to their first National title. He has a talent for matching the "right" h

orse with the "right" rider, thus creating a Winning Team! With his youth and adult riders, Rob has earned Regional and National titles in Western Pleasure, Hunt Seat. Saddle Seat, Side Saddle and Show Hack

Luton Riding Academy offers services to all ages and level of horse enthusiasts, with an emphasis on safety. We design a program for each individual with emphasis on safety. Lessons are available Monday through Friday 12 p.m.- 7 p.m. Saturday from 9:30 a.m.- 4 p.m. Our lessons are geared to start very basic beginners to advanced riders that compete on a National level. Our riders learn everything from getting their horses out of the stall, tacking up a horse, hoof picking, mounting, dismounting to actually riding. Teaching youth and amateur riders is one of my greatest passions, horses are wonderful animals that can enhance a wide range of skills in children and adults alike. Some of the benefits of being involved in my program are establishing higherself confidence, patience, self discipline, and sportsmanship. My goal is to make a positive impact on every individual that I teach, from overcoming the fear of getting on a horse for the first time to entering a final at the U.S. Nationals.

With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to a truly special soul, Bayou Boy, aka Gator . 💔🐴

This cherished horse lived a long, beautiful life filled with love, purpose, and unforgettable memories. He carried Emily Robinson and Leona Hilton to many championships, always with grace, heart, and quiet pride. A steady and trusted partner in the show arena, he gave his riders confidence and joy every step of the way.

At home, he was a barn favorite — a perfect gentleman who left a lasting impression on everyone, especially his longtime trainer, Rob Luton. His kind eye, willing spirit, and steady presence made him one of a kind.

We are deeply grateful to the Hilton family for allowing him to live out his final years in the comfort of his familiar surroundings, surrounded by love and care.

Though he will be missed beyond words, we take comfort in knowing he’s now running free in greener pastures.
