Team Maplewood had a great time at Chapter 5 this past week. We’re thankful for the opportunity to compete, learn, and continue growing with every class and every horse. We’re proud of the progress made throughout the show and appreciate the support from our clients. Looking forward to the next one and continuing to build on the experiences gained!

🌈🌈Pistol🌈🌈

Birth date unknown - 5/18/2026 (mid 30s)

We have been the blessed guardians of “Pistol” for the last five years. Prior to that he was so hugely loved by the Young family, who trusted us with his care for the last five years.

Small in stature, but the biggest in heart and attitude. He has taught hundreds of lessons, stood for hours of grooming, and played many rounds of “horse ball.” His mustache game was epic and never to be outdone.

Christjon and myself are heartbroken to lose him so unexpectedly, but grateful for everything he gave to us and honored that we could love him through his last moments. Rest easy friend. We thank you for everything you have done for us and love you. 💔💔💔💔

The end of a long horse show week deserves a serenade with friends. Sophie’s face says it all… 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Bless the horses who are freight trains in the ring and puppy dogs on the ground. ❤️🐴❤️🐴❤️

✨ Ridgewood’s Black Diamond (“Aria”) ✨
5-year-old mare by We Saw You First out of AH! What Luck.
Aria is a talented and versatile mare suitable for an amateur or juvenile rider. She goes beautifully in a full bridle and has the potential to excel in multiple divisions — whether you’re looking for a pleasure prospect, an equation horse, or a future harness partner. She has also been started gating.
With her big expression and excellent manners, Aria is sure to stand out in the show ring. She hauls well, stands patiently for the farrier, clips quietly, and jogs confidently. Most importantly, she has a kind disposition and never pins an ear.
Aria is ready for her next partner to take her to the next level!

***Aria has been shown successfully in a full bridle. She was shown in a single bit at Ch 5 due to no fault of her own. Christjon had an injury and put a catch rider in last minute.****

Congratulations to our riders this last weekend at Minnesota Spring Tune Up! Over half of our riders had new horses, new divisions, or their first time in the show ring! A great warm up to the rest of the season. Next stop is Chapter V in May! ❤️🐴❤️🐴
