🐾❤️ Happy Tails Saturday!! ❤️🐾

Today was a huge day for FOALC. We sent 20 dogs and 9 cats to rescue. That’s 29 animals from Lincoln County on their way to a new life!!!

Days like this are a big undertaking. Our animals went to three different rescues. Different rescues have different requirements. Our volunteers spend a lot of time coordinating and ensuring each animal has what they need, such as health certificates, copies of medical records, etc, so they can leave on the appointed day. Rescues often work together, too, for efficiency. On this run, we had quite a few “hitchhikers” from other rescues in our part of the state headed to their new lives at other rescues further away. While we are still working on fundraising for a physical facility (over halfway there!) on the land we own, this is especially hard to coordinate without a central hub.

We knew this day was coming up and did some fundraising recently. However, we are still a little short of covering the cost of lunch for our driver and for gas, which is very costly right now for these big vans. Can you spare a few dollars to help us cover this?

We are moving on to our waiting list and need to ensure we do not exceed our grant money.

Vouchers MUST be used by November 1st or they are no longer valid.

🐾🚘 DRIVER NEEDED 🚘🐾

Saturday is a big day for us. We have a whole load of animals, including this litter of puppies, going to rescues to start their new lives!

We are looking for someone to drive a transport for FOALC & BARC (Boone’s rescue) this coming Saturday, Sept 12th to help make this happen. The driver would need to meet at Tic Toc Tire in Danville by 8:30 am and transport to Cheat Lake by noon.

Transport van, gas, and lunch money provided.

We are currently working on a large scale spay/neuter ✂️ effort to reduce the animal population at a hoarding residence in the county.

Our grant covers the procedures. However, this sweet girl has developed some complications post op 😞 We suspect a UTI, but won’t know for sure until she is evaluated.

We are hoping the bill will be minimal ($100-$200). If we can get 10 people to donate $20, we should have it covered! 💪

These FOUR Lincoln County dogs have a rescue commitment and a chance to hitch a ride out of here! ❤️

But FIRST, we need to raise $194 for their required health certificates.

💰 GOAL: $194

**if we get more than $194, we will put towards travel to and from vet and to meet rescue partner because we need gas money too 🥴🤞

🚗 Once we get that covered, we will need a DRIVER to take them to Critter Connection for the health certificates.
