Groundwork isn’t just about moving a horse’s feet—it’s about building communication, respect, and confidence before ever climbing in the saddle.
A lot of our foundation work is influenced by methods that emphasize clear leadership, consistency, and rewarding the right response. When a horse understands how to yield, move forward willingly, and look to the handler for direction on the ground, those lessons carry over into every ride that follows.
We don’t do groundwork because it’s trendy—we do it because it creates safer, softer, more responsive horses. The goal is always the same: a horse that thinks through pressure, stays connected to their rider, and has the confidence to handle whatever job is asked of them.
The ride starts long before you swing a leg over.
