Look at their faces. Every single one of them needed help, and every single one of them was turned away because we simply don’t have the money to take on another dog.

Words can’t describe how heartbreaking it is to be asked to save a life and have to say no? Donations have dropped drastically, and we’re sinking deeper into debt caring for the dogs already depending on us.

I honestly don’t know what else to say.

We’ve spent years fighting for these animals. Right now, we need our people to fight alongside us. ❤️🐾

We’ve shared our struggles, we’ve asked for help, and still the donations have slowed to almost nothing.

We operate solely on donations. We don’t receive grants or other funding. Without your support, there is no Magnolia Mutts Rescue.

And we don’t just rescue these animals—we take care of them. We meet their needs for as long as they are in our care. If a dog is struggling to eat, we find out why and address it. If they have heartworms, we treat them. Broken bones are repaired. Senior dogs with arthritis receive the pain management they need. We don’t stop at saving them—we make sure they are cared for and loved, for the rest of their lives.

We’ve been forced to turn away animals who desperately need help because we simply cannot afford another expense. And that is soul-crushing, because it goes against everything we believe in and everything we’ve built Magnolia Mutts to do.

We have stretched every dollar as far as we can, and we are running out of time to get caught up.

Foster Needed!

Hello! We are in need of a foster for these 2 adorable puppies. Snowball (f) and Sammy (m) were dumped beside a road and left to fend for themselves. They are around 10 weeks old, and they are as sweet as can be! They are in need of a loving, temporary home. Of course fosters are able to adopt if they fall in love with these precious babies! Please reply if you can help with fostering them temporarily.

FOSTER SECURED

GRENADA, MS

ISO: a FOSTER home for these two sweet girls. Their names are Betsy and Bonnie and they would sure love to cuddle up with somebody. They are very sweet and affectionate and just need a place to land for a little while. Just think it would be helping to save their lives and as a Foster myself, there’s no better feeling .

URGENT FOSTER NEEDED ASAP: This dog is expecting puppies very soon and desperately needs out of the shelter. Is there ANYONE who would be willing to foster her until we can find her a rescue. I promise we are looking for a rescue. She is very sweet and loves everyone. The shelter is no place for puppies to be born so I’m begging here. 💔 THE FUTURE OF MAGNOLIA MUTTS DEPENDS ON WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

We aren’t asking you to help us, this isn’t about us. We’re asking you to support our ability to continue helping suffering animals in our community and surrounding communities.

The dog you drive past every morning on your way to work, still chained to that same tree, lying in the blazing sun with no shelter and no water or food, having given up all hope of ever being safe, much less happy.

The litter of puppies dumped at Grenada Lake, scared, hungry and covered in parasites, with tiny bellies swollen from worms.

The dog whose owner moved away and left her behind. Three weeks later, she’s still sitting there watching the road, waiting for the person she loves to come back for her.

If we can’t get caught up before the end of the year, January will look very different for Magnolia Mutts — and for this community too.

We’ve saved countless animals, much of it happening quietly behind the scenes. You may not always see the difference we make, but when we’re no longer able to do this work, you will.

There will be more animals needing help, more unwanted litters, and more animals vulnerable to abuse and neglect. The other rescues in our area are already stretched to their limits and simply cannot absorb the number of animals we won’t be here to help.

We don’t want to stop. We want to keep saying YES.

1. Please, please show up in any way you can.
We need donations to pay for past, present and future animals.
2. We need people to foster these animals.
3. We need dog food, puppy pads, toys, treats, laundry detergent, bleach.
4. We need volunteers to help drive animals to where they need to go.
