🐾❤️ Happy Veterinary Technician Appreciation Week! ❤️🐾

This week, we celebrate the hardworking, compassionate, and dedicated Veterinary Technicians who give their all every single day! 🐶🐱

From comforting nervous pets and assisting in surgeries to providing lifesaving care, endless cuddles, and everything in between, our Vet Techs truly are the heart of our hospital! 🩺💕

Their job isn't always easy. It takes patience, strength, compassion, and a whole lot of love for animals and their families.

It's the extra hours, late nights, missed lunches, and staying long after their shift has ended to make sure every patient receives the care they deserve. It's the moments spent comforting a scared animal, reassuring a worried pet parent, and giving just a little more of themselves when they've already given so much.

To our amazing girls — THANK YOU! ❤️ Thank you for the sacrifices you make, the compassion you show, and the dedication you bring to our hospital every single day. Your hard work doesn't go unnoticed, and we are incredibly grateful to have each and every one of you!

🦇💜 BAT APPRECIATION MONTH: GIVE THESE NIGHTTIME SUPERHEROES SOME LOVE! 💜🦇

Who needs a cape when you have wings?! 🦇✨ This Bat Appreciation Month, we’re giving a little love to one of nature’s most misunderstood superheroes!

Did you know bats are actually AMAZING for our environment? 🌎

🦟 BUG BUSTERS: Many bats eat thousands of insects in a single night. Talk about pest control!

🌸 POLLINATION PROS: Some bat species help pollinate plants, including agave and certain tropical fruits. Nature’s little delivery service! 🌺

🌱 FOREST HELPERS: Fruit-eating bats spread seeds that help forests grow and recover.

🦇 NOT BLIND AT ALL: Despite the saying, bats can see! Many also use echolocation, sending out sounds and listening for echoes to navigate and find food in the dark. How cool is that?!

💜 HOW CAN YOU HELP?
🏡 Provide a bat house in a suitable location.
🌿 Plant native flowers and trees.
🚫 Avoid pesticides when possible.
🌙 Give bats their space and never handle a wild bat with bare hands.

Bats aren’t scary little monsters — they’re hardworking members of our ecosystem who deserve our respect! 🥹💕

🐾❤️ SEPTEMBER IS ANIMAL PAIN AWARENESS MONTH! ❤️🐾

Our pets can’t tell us when something hurts, so it’s up to us to recognize the signs. And sometimes, those signs can be surprisingly subtle.

Is your pet:
🐶 Less playful or active than usual?
🐱 Hiding or seeking more attention?
🐾 Having trouble getting up, walking, or jumping?
🍽️ Eating less or acting differently around food?
💤 Sleeping more than usual?
😠 Suddenly irritable or not wanting to be touched?
🩷 Licking or chewing at a particular area?

These changes may be your pet’s way of saying, “Something doesn’t feel right.”

Pain isn’t something our pets should simply have to “live with.” Whether it’s arthritis, an injury, dental disease, surgery, or another medical condition, recognizing pain early can make a huge difference in their comfort and quality of life.

💙 If you notice a change in your pet, don’t ignore it. When in doubt, give your veterinary team a call. Your pet may be trying to tell you something—even without saying a word. 🐾

Because every pet deserves a life that is as comfortable and pain-free as possible. ❤️🐕🐈

We have some VERY exciting news to share… Clementine has been ADOPTED! 🥹🐾🏡

This sweet ginger girl stole our hearts while she was with us, and we couldn’t be happier knowing she’s found her forever family! ❤️

From being our special Ginger Cat Appreciation Day girl to officially having a home of her own… Clementine’s story has the purr-fect ending! 🐈🧡

A HUGE thank you to her new family for opening their hearts and home to her. We know she is going to be so loved and spoiled! 🥰

Here’s to a lifetime of cuddles, treats, zoomies, and ONE VERY HAPPY GINGER GIRL! 🍊🐾

When we say Not One More Vet, we mean EVERYONE in veterinary medicine.

Not one more veterinarian.
Not one more veterinary technician.
Not one more veterinary assistant.
Not one more receptionist.
Not one more kennel attendant.
Not one more practice manager.
Not one more groomer.
Not one more person who works behind the scenes.
Not one more person who dedicates their life to caring for animals.

Because veterinary medicine isn’t just a job. It can be emotionally exhausting, physically demanding, and incredibly heavy. We celebrate the wins together, but we also carry the heartbreak, compassion fatigue, difficult cases, long days, and losses together.

So check on your coworkers. 🩵
Ask how they’re really doing.
Listen without judgment.
Give grace.
Remind them that they don’t have to carry everything alone.

And if you are struggling, please know this:

💙 A Day Full of Emotions at the Clinic 💙

Today was a day of happy tears and heartbreaking ones. 🥹💔

We want to thank all of our wonderful clients for your patience and understanding today as we celebrated welcoming Dr. Emily back to the clinic! 🥰 After everything she’s been through, having her back where she belongs meant so much to all of us. 🐾💙

But today also brought an incredibly difficult goodbye. We had to say farewell to Toto, Dr. Emily’s beloved cat. 🌈🐱💔 Saying goodbye to a cherished family member is never easy, and our hearts are hurting alongside her and her family.

Some days in veterinary medicine are filled with happy reunions, and others remind us just how deeply we love the animals entrusted to our care. Today was both.

Thank you for giving our team a little extra grace, patience, and understanding as we navigated such an emotional day. ❤️
