The DNREC Division of Fish and Wildlife Hunter Education Program, in partnership with the Chesapeake Bay Chapter of Quail Forever, invites you to take part in our exciting Learn to Hunt event on Sunday, February 8, 2026!

Participants will receive hands-on instruction from experienced, ethical volunteers. This immersive program covers:
🔹 Upland bird biology
🔹 Gun safety
🔹 Clay shooting practice
🔹 Sporting dog demonstrations & safety
🔹 Hunting tactics & safe field practices
🔹 Essential outdoor skills
… all while fostering camaraderie, active participation, and an appreciation for habitat, wildlife, and conservation.

You’ll attend classroom instruction, practice trap shooting with an instructor, enjoy lunch, head into the field for a guided hunt with a pointing dog and handler, and even learn how to clean your harvested birds.
