Y’all, we are officially ONE WEEK AWAY from our Fall Halloween Event at Restored By Grace Stables!!! 🐴🍂 We are getting SO EXCITED and cannot wait to spend an evening filled with horses, fellowship, food, and fall fun with y’all!!! 🤎

🐴🎭 NOW, WHO’S READY FOR THE HORSE COSTUME CONTEST?!

Have y’all started thinking about your costume ideas yet?! 👀🎃 Our horses are getting ready to dress up, show off, and steal the spotlight! 😂🤎 We’ll have a couple of horses available for the contest, so bring your creativity and come have some fun!

Here are just a COUPLE of costume ideas to get those creative juices flowing! 👻💀 Whether you’re thinking spooky, silly, western, or downright adorable, we cannot wait to see what y’all come up with!

🏆 There will even be a goodie basket AND a FREE RIDING LESSON up for grabs for our winner!!!

Please remember that costume contest participation has a $20 entry fee, and costumes must be safe for the horses, with no obstructed vision or restrictive wrapping.

We are so thankful for every family, friend, and neighbor who comes out to support our little stable and be part of what we’re building here. 🐴 LESSON UPDATE | RESTORED BY GRACE STABLES 🍂🤎

After keeping an eye on the weather, I’ve decided to cancel this evening’s riding lessons. With the rain leaving the ground wet and slick, it creates unsafe footing for both our horses and riders. Our horses’ safety always comes first!

With these drastic temperature changes happening in such a short amount of time, it’s also important that we pay extra attention to our horses’ health, comfort, and well-being. Their care doesn’t stop when we leave the saddle! 🐎🤎

A LITTLE SCHEDULE REMINDER! 🍁

For all my wonderful riders who have continued lessons with me, I’ll be taking the next TWO WEEKS off to spend some much-needed time with my sweet daughter. 🤎 Being a momma is my greatest blessing, and I’m so grateful for your understanding!

Regularly scheduled lessons will resume in November! I can’t wait to see everyone back in the saddle. 🐴

🐴🎃 HORSE COSTUME CONTEST 🎃🐴

This is where the fun begins!

Each contestant will have approximately 15 minutes to work with one of our two horses and create their Halloween costume. Since we only have two horses available for the contest, we will have contestants go one at a time.

After your 15 minutes, your child will get to walk their horse around and show off their costume while our judges take a look! Then we’ll move on to the next contestant.

🏆 THE WINNER WILL RECEIVE:
🎁 A Halloween goodie basket
🐴 ONE FREE RIDING LESSON at Restored By Grace!

⚠️ HORSE COSTUME SAFETY RULES

Because our horses’ safety comes first, there will be a few restrictions on costumes.

• An adult must assist their child throughout the entire contest.
• There will be someone overseeing the contest to help ensure everyone stays safe.
• Nothing may obstruct or cover the horse’s eyes.
• No costumes or materials may be wrapped tightly around the horse’s legs.
• Costumes must be safe, comfortable, and appropriate for the horse.
• The contestant is responsible for providing their own costume/materials.
• Please remember that we are working with live animals, so costumes may need to be adjusted if something makes the horse uncomfortable or unsafe.

💰 Cost to enter the Horse Costume Contest: $20 per contestant

PLEASE NOTE: Your $20 entry fee is specifically for participation in the horse costume contest. You do not need to enter the contest to attend the Halloween event!

If you’re unsure whether your costume idea will be safe for one of our horses, PLEASE reach out before purchasing/making your costume! I’d be happy to talk through your idea and make sure we’re keeping our horses and kiddos safe. 🧡

Okay y’all… hear me out. 😂

I LOVE Halloween, and I’ve been thinking it would be so much fun to have a little Halloween/we**ie roast evening at the stables! 🎃🌙

I’m thinking something cozy and fun like:

🌭 A we**ie roast & bonfire
🐴 A horse costume contest
🎃 Pumpkins + fall/Halloween decorations
👻 Games & silly Halloween fun
🍫 S’mores
🤎 Fellowship with friends & family
✝️ And a little Christ-centered time together, because you know we have to keep Jesus at the heart of it all!

My thought for the horse costume contest would be $20 per participant, with the winner receiving ONE FREE riding lesson! 🏆🐴

BUT before I go crazy planning, buying things, decorating, and putting a whole evening together… 😂

A new little toy for our girl Cricket! 🤎🐴

We’re working on speed control, focus, and keeping her mind on the job rather than letting that head get too high and turning into “YEEHAW, LET’S GO!” 😂

The tie-down is just another tool in the toolbox to help encourage a nice, controlled way of going while we continue building good habits and a solid foundation.

One ride, one lesson, one little step at a time. 🐴🤎

🍂 A Little October Announcement from Restored by Grace Stables 🍂

October is my favorite month of the year, and this year I’m going to slow down and soak it all in. 🤎

I’ll be taking the last two weeks of October off from lessons so I can spend some extra quality time with my sweet girl, enjoy the beauty of fall, and simply make some memories together. 🐴🍁🍂

This little business is so special to me, but being a momma is my greatest blessing, and sometimes we need to pause and enjoy the season God has placed us in. ✝️🤎

Lessons will resume as usual after those two weeks, and I’ll be excited to get back in the saddle with everyone!
