The Australian Labradoodle’s story began in the 1980s with the goal of developing an allergy-friendly guide dog.

Through generations of thoughtful, selective breeding, Australian Labradoodles have also excelled as therapy dogs and emotional support animals. Their intelligence, intuition, trainability and love of people make them well suited for many important roles.

Why does ALAA require puppies to be at least 8 weeks old before going to their new homes? 🐾

Those first eight weeks are about so much more than growing! Time spent with mom, littermates, and their breeder helps Australian Labradoodle puppies learn important social and behavioral skills that help prepare them for life with their new families.

That’s why ALAA Rule #21 requires that no puppy be sold or placed before 8 weeks of age.

Eight weeks isn’t just a date on the calendar—it’s an important part of giving every puppy the best possible start. ❤️

We have had the privilege of loving on precious Huck since he was born. He is absolutely precious and one of a kind. He became Chad’s little right hand man. We knew early on that our AmAzInG dog sitter, Haley, would be getting him as soon as she was married. We just didn’t know how much Chad would fall in love with this little guy. ♥️♥️♥️♥️ We got to see him go home with precious Haley and her husband, Braxton, yesterday. What a beautiful JOY to see Huck and the Bowen’s so happy! Go live your best life Huck!
