JACKSON is adopted and forever home!! 💙🐕🏡

Jackson came into Palmdale, CA shelter a stray. He was microchipped, friendly with everyone and made friends with his kennel mates and pups in the play yard. Despite all of this, nobody came to claim him and his time was up.

Then we saw him and rescued him. The first thing we did when we saved his was change his horrible shelter name from Lucifer to JACKSON! Then we got him vetted and updated to begin his journey to his new life with us in CT as an ARK Charities pup. The rest is history and Jackson is now a beloved family member and will never be unloved, abandoned or unwanted again.

Mimi is a truly wonderful 9 to 10 month old female German Shepherd that has all the very best traits that one hopes for in a German Shepherd and a favorite furry family member. She is about 60-65lbs and growing . Our sweet Mimi is just that, a wonderful, happy, playful and loving girl who is great with all people and wonderful with larger dogs and we believe she will also be quite good with smaller dogs once she has had a proper introduction, but cats are an unknown. Mimi is a girl that loves adventure, whether it is a car ride to new places, walk in town or mountain/park hikes, she truly appreciates and enjoys water in the warm weather and would love to explore the beach or enjoy almost any water activity (please don't forget her life jacket).

Mimi is a smart girl and is eager to learn, loves to please, and will do whatever you are willing to teach her for treats. She will be a superstar in group training classes, that will pay off in a lifetime of joy being able to take her anywhere. Happy Monday from Zeke & Munson, two ARK alumni, now brothers from different mothers!

We absolutely love getting updates and photos of our pups living their best lives.

Two years ago we rescued Munson, fka McLaren, whom we saved from an overcrowded, CA shelter with his Dad and 5 littermates. We saved Zeke, now known as Loki, from Ft Worth, TX just this past summer. Look at how happy and loved they are now.

We're catching up on adoption announcements and want to share the happy news that ELROND is adopted and forever home!
We rescued Elrond from the Riverside, CA in July 2025. He has been with us for well over a year and we have patiently helped him heal and have waited with him to find his perfect love match.
Elrond is a 7-8 yr old, gentle boy. When we first saved him from Riverside, he was sick with pneumonia, had a bottle cap in his stomach and was very thin beneath his beneath his heavy coat. We knew right away what a special fellow he is; he completely ignored the resident cat at the clinic where he was treated and is very sweet.
Despite being loving, Elrond struggled with previous abandonment. His heart had been wounded. He is a boy who gives his whole heart when he loves. Often in rescue, we are rehabilitating both the physical body and often the greater work of healing emotional wounds. Elrond needed both a lot of both.
After 12+months of care and rehabilitation, Elrond met his Dad at his meet and greet and it was as if their two hearts had been waiting for each other. What a special connection they had and continue to have. Elrond and his Dad now share daily adventures, outings together and even concerts.
Love match found and it was well worth the wait!!

It’s a good day to save a life!! Please welcome GRANT, who got his freedom ride this morning with our dear friend and hero, Robert!

Grant is a beautiful, liver colored GSD and he is just a youngster at 1.5yrs. He is neutered and up to date. Somehow he ended up as a stray without anyone looking for him. Well, his whole life just changed for the better because now he is an ARK pup, coming to CT to find his perfect love match and forever home.

Grant has an easy going personality with calm demeanor and good manners. He has successfully met other dogs and takes treats gently. He is a perfect size at 65lbs and is ready for adventures and love. He is a stunning fellow and good boy.

Grant is coming north from TX the second week in November!

Happy Adoption Day to Gracie, fka Vex, from SEAACA!
Gracie is a beautiful and loving girl and has landed in so much love.
She is cherished and beloved for the first time in her life. We were told that Gracie and her siblings were dumped at the shelter in a u-haul. The others were adopted and rescued and Gracie was left behind. Despite previous neglect, she is incredibly sweet, affectionate and loving of all beings. We knew she needed us and set a plan in motion with amazing fosters, Maria and Karim. What we didn't know is that Maria's sister, Suzette, and Gracie would develop a strong bond and an amazing love connection. Gracie's foster and adoption is a true family affair. We couldn't deny their very special bond and love match and it fills our hearts knowing she is so loved and will never be unwanted again.
This is why we rescue!

Happy Adoption Day to Loki, now known as ZEKE!!

We couldn’t be happier for this beautiful boy and his perfect, love match. Zeke joins the family of previous ARK Charities adopters. We rescued his brother, Munson, fka McClaren, Dad and littermates from CA just two years ago. Zeke have his brother have bonded and are inseparable besties.

We rescued Loki after our shelter friends (Sydney and Isaac) reached out to us to tell us about this handsome, gentle and friendly 2yr old and when we saw him, we couldn’t say no. Thanks to the help of a volunteer foster, Zeke was able to be in a home and out the shelter until his freedom flight with Wings of Rescue. We are so grateful for the many hearts who came together to make his new life possible. At ARK, fosters are a short term, temporary bridge before transport and a vital link to saving and changing lives like Zeke, formerly, Loki.
