Sometimes clients can have the best intentions when trying to keep their fur-babies brushed out thoroughly and are in disbelief when the groomer claims there is matting. One way to ensure there aren't any tangles is to use a metal comb and go from the root out after brushing to get all those tangles. Sometimes an ear can look brushed but only on the outside. 🤔
