Rainbows Edge Equine Transition Center We train, shelter & rehab abused & neglected horses confiscated by Law Enforcement to prepare for adoption. This is at no cost to the rescue.

Rainbow Edge programs: #1 A Feed bank to help those that need temporary assistance to keep their horses who love them and provide great care, but have experienced financial difficulties do to an injury, health, or loss of job. #2 Train horses that have been turned over to a rescue or ourself to create a safe and willing horse for its new human partner in life. #3 Train new horse owners and volunteers to assist in this rescue journey and become the leader and partner for horses and humans a like. Our page gives people a chance to follow a rescue horse from the time it comes in, up until adoption. There is a lot that goes on behind the scenes that no one gets to see. We all care, and so many want to help, that we want to provide the details of the wonderful results that come from your generous donations. The rescue horses come to us from other rescues or we bring them in on our own. We provide the care, training, and housing for the horse and all the love and attention we can give. The Rescue covers all Vet, feed, and farrier costs thru donations. We are a not-for profit that is 100% volunteers. Our devoted trainers work for minimal charge and when there are no funds to pay them they don't just stop they continue as volunteers. Please follow us for daily postings and invite all your friends. Please feel free to follow even if you don't want to donate when the call goes out. When we send out a call for donations it will be to help pay for hay and feed or vet or pay the trainer, that works with the horse right at our farm. Total weekly donations will be posted and you will be told where the money is being spent . We want people to know what happens to their money they donate and be able to see the progress of the horse and have a part in the bitter sweet experience when a horse gets healthy and finds its forever home. There is so much joy in your heart for them and their future but a little sorrow in their leaving. But then you can help another and sadly there will always be another. So please join us in this Journey and invite all you friends and family.

Ok friends Panhandle Equine Rescue, Inc.needs help from the storm . There are trees in pastures and paddocks that need to be cut up. If you
know horses they will always find a way to injure them selves and all they need to do is use one of these trees as a back scratcher it would not take much to come down on them. Please call Diane at 850-393-9793 if you can help.

Tonight ( Sunday ) they are calling for 50 degrees so all the horses at Rainbows Edge Equine Transition Center got soaked alfalfa with their dinner tonight . When temps go from 90 to 50 in just a couple days the horses have a tendency not to drink as much because its cooler ( kinda like us ) so we give them fiber with moisture for their bellies to help keep things moving along

🄶FLORIDA FOURTIES!🄶
UPDATE: Tuesday is now expected to be the coolest day, with many areas across the panhandle experiencing feels like temps in the 40s! Across the peninsula, they may start to feel like fall.

Enjoy!

Sitting here this morning waiting for day light so the day can start. Our hay came in yesterday today we will get gas for generators and fill everything that can hold water just incase. Better to prepare than not and be sorry. We should be fine here the bigger part of the Hurricane will be west of us but winds can still knock out power, that can happen just because of a thunder storm with winds. We are expecting damage to the west of us which slows down any transport from that direction so stock up folks and be ready with needed supplies until they have time to clean up over that direction.
