Purrever Friends Rescue At Purrever Friends, we believe feral and stray cats deserve more than to be ignored—they deserve compassion. To us, they are friends in need.

We help these misunderstood felines through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), ongoing care, and community education.

UPDATE!
Due to unforeseen circumstances, we will not be at this year's Friday Night Frights. A huge thank you to Mauldin Cultural Center for the invite, and we hope to attend next Halloween.

We encourage everyone to still attend and have a spooktacular time supporting our community!

We're still looking for a forever home for our sneaky sweetie LuLu!

You may remember HER as Louis (till a vet finally confirmed she was a she 🙃).

This sweetie pie is all kitten - pint-sized, playful, curious and snuggly. She loves to be a part of whatever it is you're doing, so if you're looking for a feline assistant, LuLu is your girl.

Because Lulu is still too young to complete her vetting, she's available as a foster-to-adopt. That means we're looking for someone who can bring her into their home now and partner with us on getting her to her remaining appointments when the time comes.

Calling all volunteers!

We are so excited to be a part of Mauldin Cultural Center's 2026 Friday Night Frights. As a participant, we will have our own booth where we will hand out candy and educate the community on TNR/ cat rescue.

To make this a success, we are looking volunteers to help us!
How can you help out?

1. Donate candy! We will need a lot of candy to pass out to trick-or-treaters, so any bit helps.
2. Design our booth! Our booth will be judged for prizes, and it has to be Halloween-themed. If you're creative, artistic, handy with a glue gun, or just full of ideas, we want you on the team. Haunted cat café? Witch's cauldron full of kittens? Tell us your vision.
3. Visit our us! Come say hello, ask questions, and find out what it takes to volunteer or foster. No experience needed.

👉 Students we see you! Looking to earn service hours?
Each 50ct bag of candy donated = 30 min of service hours
Booth design and setup help earns hours too. Bring or email us your school's service-hour form.

👉 Ready to help? Email us: [email protected] or shoot us a DM.

🚨 URGENT: Our kitties need your help! 🚨

Our vet fund is running dangerously low, and several of our rescues need care right now:

😿 A sweet cat with a painful eye issue that needs treatment
🐾 A litter of kittens battling diarrhea (tiny bodies dehydrate fast!)
💛 A senior kitty who's overdue for a serious checkup
💔 And we're STILL raising funds for Ginger (Marble)! This 10-month-old tabby was found starving at a local apartment complex, dragging one front leg with a badly damaged eye. Her vet found nerve damage consistent with a blunt force injury. She needs a leg amputation and eye removal, about $3,000 in care (we still need around $2,000 of that goal). Despite everything, she still runs to people for love. She deserves a second chance. 🧡

These babies are counting on us, and we're counting on YOU. Every dollar goes directly to their care, and no gift is too small!

Happy spooky season!
It's the time of pumpkins, ghouls and...black cats! 🐈‍⬛

Did you know that black cats face real disadvantages when it comes to being adopted? Some studies and shelter data suggest black cats are up to 30% to 50% less likely to be adopted quickly compared to lighter-colored cats. Thanks to old superstitions, many black cats struggle to be noticed.

What's worse? Black cats are naturally some of the sweetest and most affectionate!

We have several black cats who are looking for their forever home. A place where they can be charming and cuddly and maybe just a little bit spooky 😉

🎃 Toby has overcome incredible odds. As just young kitten, he was found on, of all days, Halloween! Toby's bladder burst, requiring life-saving surgery. Against all odds, Toby overcame every obstacle and survived. Now that it's all behind him, Toby is ready for his family! He is friendly, playful and sweet.

🎃 Emory & Nikki are a mother-daughter duo who are on the shier side. They are sweet but prefer a slower pace of life. They're hoping for a quieter home where they can stretch out and enjoy naps in the sun.

Continuing with our orange boy trend - meet Ragnor!

This sweet boy was rescued in the most unusual way - via his family's rooftop. What, you might ask, was this handsome boy doing on the roof of his house? Great question. His family had put him out because they had gotten a new dog, and poor Ragnor had climbed to the roof in fear. Imagine how frightening!

We scooped him up and brought him into rescue. He was understandably scared and disoriented - his whole life had just changed! But in time, Ragnor has relaxed into his new surroundings and processed his grief.

Now, it's time to write a new (and better!) chapter in Ragnor's life! He is patiently looking for his forever home.

Ragnor is approximately 6 years old. He is fixed, vaccinated and FIV/FeLV negative. Ragnor loves pets and cuddles, but on his terms. He loves both human time and alone time and appreciates a solid mix of both. A peaceful, predictable home is where he would thrive!

🚨 We've got some news about Louis to share. 🚨

Louis is now... LULU! 💕

That's right. This little kitten pulled off the con of the century and fooled a lot of people, including some vet techs (and they've seen a LOT of kitten butts). So whether that makes her a criminal mastermind, a master of disguise, or just a really good secret-keeper... we'll let you decide.

What we DO know for sure:
✨ She's adorable
✨ She's clever (clearly)
✨ She's ready for a family who will love her no matter what surprises she has up her tiny sleeve

Lulu still needs a home, so please consider fostering to adopt this little angel... or devil in disguise. Only time will tell! 😇😈

Honestly, a kitten who can keep a secret this well deserves a spot on your couch. And maybe your pillow. And definitely your heart.

Meet Kiki!

This beautiful tortie girl is playful, spunky and full of fun. Kiki started off a bit shy and reserved, but now in foster she has truly thrived.

Toys, exploring, tumbling around with her foster-mates - Kiki gets along with other cats wonderfully and is always up for whatever's happening.

Kiki is vaccinated, spayed and negative for FIV/FeLV.
